Pours a golden yellow with slight haze and aggressive carbonation that quickly subsides, leaving little very lace. The underwhelming aroma is the first clue that this wheat beer is not a true hefe-weizen, as there are absolutely no banana or clove esters, only a faint nose of straw and metal. Both of these aromas dominate the taste, which finishes dry and slightly bitter. The label indicates the use of clove honey, which is noticeable in the dryness, as well as orange and lemon rinds, which are barely detectable. The body is smooth and creamy, and makes for a very refreshing and highly drinkable, if slightly generic, American wheat beer.
