Poured into a Duvel tulip, fairly aggressive. Pours a banana-straw color, highly opaque; hazy and cloudy in the body. Super fluffy, white head forms that lasts for a long time and is easy to bring back to life - however, little to no lacing is left behind. The initial aroma hits almost like a kolsch or witbier, rather than a true hefeweizen. Green apple skins, sweet and tart, tickling the edge of the nose. Taste leads on with grapes, pears, and more green apple; high fruitiness; very sweet and even borderline tart at certain moments. Heavy yeast tones all around the mouth; big wheat flavors are abundant as well. Very low bitterness (I'm thinking 0 IBU here) with basically no hop/floral essence to be found anywhere - all sweetness here with the bread-like yeast and malt tones. Biscuity on the ending, crisp from the heavy carbonation with a thin-medium body.
I can't decide if I like this one or not. It doesn't follow closely to the great hefes out there, and actually it seems more like a tart Kolsch or even a Berliner, but not a hefe... It's kind of weird. Not terrible, but a little to sweet and tart for what it's supposed to be (I mean, it's not a lambic or anything, but there isn't much to counter the malt). Meh.

Poured from bottle into tulip, good 1 finger cream colored head, recedes quickly to a pool, good lacing. Dark hazy golden in the glass. Lemon, honey, and wheat on the nose, very muted. Taste follows up, cracker malt on the front, followed by honey sweetness and finishing off with somewhat of a twang. Not a traditional Hefe, but very drinkable just the same. Keep going back to it, very subdued on the front and finishes with that sweet tartness on the end, but not cloying, there is sufficient bitterness to keep it in check
