Type: 12-oz. bottle
Glass: Lagunitas mason jar
From: BevMo in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif.
Price: $14.99 for a BevMo variety 8-pack (w/ BevMo card)
Purchased: Dec. 31, 2013
Consumed: Jan. 9, 2014
Misc.: N/A

Poured a brownish murky color with two fingers of khaki tan head. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Good amount of circular foamy lacing along the sides. Good retention on the top all the way down.

Smelled peach, raspberry, grape juice, blueberry honey and dark apples. Reminded me a bit of the Quaker oatmeal variety pack that I used to mix and match when I was younger.

Tasted more like a Dunkelweizen than the smell. Got peach, blueberry, grape juice, juicy apple and maple pecans.

Medium-to-light body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, smooth finish.

Not what I was expecting, but I enjoyed this beer. I may have overrated it a bit, but I would have it again for sure.

Not much head, a splash of lacing. Hazy deep reddish-amber.

Definite scent of fruit. Maybe plums? (Obviously peaches once the server suggests that... but not reminiscent of Son of Peach).

The fruit flavor almost overwhelms the beer beneath it. They don't particularly seem to complement each other. A bit less alcohol than you'd expect in a warmer.

Not horrible, but we wouldn't order it again.

Poured this in a tall slim 12oz glass. Has a very airy bubbly head too it. Almost like a soda. The mouth feel of it is kind of like that too, very carbonated. BUT, that is in no way a negative take on it. Just a bit different for a beer.

The flavor is unique and delicious. Peaches... Big peach taste. You can some what taste the pecans in it and a little spice of some sort. It definitely screams Christmas. Unfortunately is is a seasonal, but if you see a 6 pack in the store during the holidays, it is a must to try with friends of family.

Nice, copper colored body with a good, foamy head. Definite peach aroma along with a nice, malty character. Light, caramel malt body with a fruity tang. Medium bodied; dry finish.

Shiner created a nice, easy drinking holiday ale. The peach and pecan nuttiness are noticeable but not overpowering. Good complexity and balance with a unique and enjoyable flavor.

Poured into SN IPA glass.
Attractive pour with big full tan head and brilliantly clear dark amber body. Fresh whiff of soft peaches with a minimal artificial effect. Very soft malt backgound.
Wow what an easy drinker. Goes does quickly and smoothly. Decent complexity for a small ale. The peach is more background with a greater yeast character showing and a rather strong laying on the tongue of what seems some hops. Not picking up much of the pecans, but takes on more of a classic english ale flavors as it warms and opens up. However, it also seems to sweeten up the peach and make it seem more artificial.
Oh well. A good enough ale with a soft and smooth feel.

A. It has a redish brown head. Dark but you can see through it. Some bubbles from the middle. A good head and some lacing after.

S. It is extremely fruity. I'd say strong cherry malt.

T/M. It has a very sweet taste. The cherry definitely comes through. There's a bit of raspberry tartness there. Combined it tastes like bubble gum with malts and not bite.

O. Not enough spice for a holiday brew. But not bad at all.
