Poured this beer into a wiezen glass at 42 degrees. I got this beer while I was in OKC, over the holiday.

Appearance: A nice one finger tan head that some retention to it. The head is foamy and a tad creamy. The color of the beer is a medium amber color with reddish copper hues. There are nice highlights of garnet in the beer. There is a lot of effervescence in the beer. The clarity of the beer is clear to almost brilliant.

Nose: A strong fruity esters that are orange, there is a hint of banana, and clove, vanilla, and some cloves. The malt is slightly caramel aroma with bread, and toast. There are some floral and a touch of wood.

Taste: A good malt character, with bread crust, caramel, yeast, cloves, banana, fruity ester that are orange, a touch of wood, and vanilla. In the background of the beer has wheat and a light sweetness.

Overall: The mouth feel of the beer is carbonated, sticky, rich, and creamy finish. The body of the beer is medium and the finish is medium. I really like this beer it has a roundness to the flavor and a nice supple finish. This is a wonderful easy drinking beer.

From a 12 ounce bottle with a twist-off cap.

Appearance: Thin tan head and a clear dark reddish brown body.

Smell: Dominated by ripe peach. Can't detect the pecan.

Taste: Peach and nuttiness. Finishes dry. Not nearly as much peach in the taste as there is in the smell.

Drinkability: Most drinkable beer I've had in a long time. I think the dry finish and fruity taste help a lot with the drinkability.

12oz bottle, 2010 batch. Pours clear copper amber with a one finger off white head that quickly recedes to a wispy cap and ring, not much lacing at all. Aroma is a bunch of funky peaches, I can dig peaches but these are just...well...funky. A lot of pecan as well, maybe too much as it ain't playing nicely with the peaches and may be what is contributing to the funk. Also a bit of caramel malt. Good strength. Flavor is also loaded with the funky peach taste, particularly on the finish, pecans, good caramel malt backbone, bready, rather sweet. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, oily becoming sticky, medium carbonation. Not my cup of tea. I know they use real peaches and pecans but can't help but feel that those may be boosted by some artificial flavorings as well. Doubt I'll make it to the end of the glass...

I bought a single bottle of this from Woodman's in North Aurora, IL for $1.50 in Fall 2010.

A beer that will pair excellent with fruitcake if you like fruitcake. Holiday Cheer pours a dark brown with a fruit scent, peaches are the most obvious. It drinks rather smooth as you get a semi-mild taste of different fruits ending in an ever so slight spice. Out of all the beers I've tried to date, this has to be my favorite. The only way to improve this to a 10 of 10 is by adding a slight more texture and taste to it. Definetly a must try if you can find it.

12 ounce brown bottle with no date code, poured into a weizen glass.

This was a clear beer, dark amber in color. A fair amount of bubbles and a finger of off-white head were present.

Smells were of sweet malts and strong amount of peach. A little bit of breadiness and a hint of pecan aroma were there too.

The peaches and malts dominated the taste - I didn't taste the pecans. It seemed neither sweet or bitter to me; it was malty and dry. Mouthfeel was smooth and moderately carbonated.

I think they did a good job of marrying a peach beer with a dark wheat beer. Probably not something I'd want to have more than one or two at a time, but good nonetheless.

Pours a clear brown/dark amber color with some ruby hues in the light. A large inch and a half light tan head forms on top and lingers with decent retention leaving no lace behind.

This beer is incredibly fragrant, and I think I like it. As soon as you open the bottle you get hit in the face with fruit, and even with the glass sitting a little over a foot away, I can still smell it. That peach they used in the brewing definitely comes through and add a wonderful fruit quality that dominates the nose. Actually, I really can't get past the peach, so as much as I like the nose, I'm disappointed that I can't get some familiar characteristics.

The taste is ok. Again, the peach takes a dominant role, and I'm not opposed to it. It's certainly a nice twist on a traditional Dunkelweizen. The malted wheat has a soft characteristic, kind of grainy but not a whole lot going on with it. I don't get the pecans at all. The peach dominates the flavor profiles as well as the nose. Sigh.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied with plenty of lively small bubbled carbonation. Very crisp on the palate.

Drinkability is moderate. A tasty beer, but the overbearing peach flavor will definitely limit the consumption of this beer.

A: A clear dark brown with a finger width of tan colored head.

S: Aromas are mostly of peach with some sweet toasted malt and a touch of herbal hop. The peach aroma is really, really strong.

T: A nice toasted nutty malt flavor up front with some herbal hop flavor and bitterness. The finish is where the peach really comes out with a little bitterness that combines with the toasted malt/nut flavors. A lot better than I had anticipated, tastes really good, but that peach is strong.

M: Mouthfeel is full bodied and the carbonation is good.

D: This is a nice beer. The fruity peach flavors remind me of a summer beer, while the full body and toasted malts are more of a fall feel. Overall the beer works, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone who doesn't like sweet fruity beers.
