A - Pours a clear gold to light copper with a two finger head, dissipates to light cap and sticky lacing. Eventually dissipates to no cap or lacing.

S - Sweet malt and a light hoppiness and citrus aroma.

T - Very sweet toffee turning to a light breadiness, minimal hops.

M - Medium body and light carbonation, semi-dry.

O - Not a bad beer, but overall lacking in depth. Almost no hoppiness is also a letdown.

The color is copper with burnt orange reflections. It pours a larger than normal frothy head for a Marzen-style brew, about 2 fingers in a 16 oz pint glass. Shiner's label states it is best enjoyed in a stein, so I think I'll try it in that next time. Nothing notable in the aroma, which is pleasing, fresh, and has a nice essence of malt. The taste is fresh and crisp to start, but does finish a bit steely and mildly bitter.
