Appearance - Amber color with very thick head. Head looks to be a off white to beige color.
Smell - Fruity, Sweet, raspberry.
Taste - Mild beer, Little bitter but not in a bad way, citrus taste. Aftertaste is where you taste the prickly pear. Excellent.
Mouthfeel - Not too carbonated but feels real good going down.

Overall - I was really surprised by the flavor and smell of this beer. I was recommend this to anyone wanting to try something different.

12 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. A new beer to me from the people of Shiner, acquired as part of the Shiner family reunion mixed twelve pack. I've been seeing a lot of people buying these lately, and I've been buying a lot also it seems. Anyway, I didn't realize this was a cactus beer until just now, so maybe that will shed some new light on this experience.

Poured into a Miller High Life pint glass.

A - Pours two fingers of soft fluffy off-white froth on top of a clear brassy orange colored body. Some fine light sediment floating around in the glass also. No lacing. Looks okay for what it is.

S - Smell is comprised of sweet cooked grains, candied caramel malt, earthy florals, and vegetal fruitiness - peaches, mangos, apples, pear, some sort of ripe melon, and grass, all of which is the flavor of the cactus at play, I will assume.

T - Taste is more grainy than the nose suggests, but there is still a nice dose of vegetal fruitiness. Cucumber, melon, green apples, grapes, some type of artificial berry, candied caramel malt, & grainy corn. Not bad, but maybe a bit too sweet.

M - Smooth, clean, and watery mouthfeel with minimal stickiness. Light bodied with coarse carbonation. A touch too syrupy / sugary.

Overall, not a bad beer, just not very authentic and maybe a touch too sugary / syrupy. Certainly sessionable, enjoyable, and drinkable, and probably the most interesting beer out of the six beers in the variety pack.

Appearance - a light amber color, with zero head.

Smell - You can smell the citrusy hops in it, as well as the pear.

Taste - Its a sweet and fruity taste, with the pear flavor as more of a aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - a bit weak body, but a good amount of carbonation.

Overall - I was expecting the pear to be more present in this beer, but a decent beer overall.
