A buddy brought me this back from Texas with him. The label art is pretty cool...retro look to it. Poured in a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, yellow-gold coloring with a frothy, white, light head that quickly disappears to leave a clear surface behind. Steady flow of carbonation bubbling throughout. Aromas of roasted grains and a buttery sweetness. Not much else, really. Flavors of toast and corn, with roasted qualities throughout. Light palate on a thin body. The aftertaste is roasty as well. Slick, clean finish. This one strikes closer to an adjunct than anything else I can put my finger on.

I like Shiner Bock original (the Bock) it's a decent beer, I even like Kosmos quiete a bit..
For me this Kölsch Brewer's pride is a real t*rd.
At the very best, this beer was like drinking Lucky Lager, Old Milwaukee, Milwaukee's Best, Mickey Bigmouth, Rainer Beer or maybe even Black Label. Heck, If I were in High School or College again and just wanted to get blitzed this would be okay, then.
However, the fact that its price is that of a premium beer, one would expect much more than this..What gives????... In my opinion, and it's mine and mine alone, I think Shiner needs to pack this one up and forget it. Seriously, I was really disappointed and I like some of Shiner's brews. This is a marketing focus opinion for free and it's brutal, but I'm being honest. All successful Companies know that you give your customer what they want and not what you think they'll like or need.

Clear medium straw color with a thin bright white head that has very low retention.
Not much to the nose: crackers, lemon zest and a little Wonder bread.
Really pretty bland on the palate, crackers and a little toast. Really no hop feel to the beer and no bitterness.
Medium- bodied and a little watery with a short finish.
It's not offensive, but there's just nothing here. Pretty generic.

A - light golden yellow with a thin, loose, bubbly head that dissipates quickly
S - grainy, sweet, somewhat grassy
T - cereal grains, grass, mild sweetness
M - light bodied, crisp, a tad overcarbonated
This isn't a bad beer by any stretch. It isn't a beer I'd be quick to label craft, but it is a beer that is far superior to any macro/adjunct lager. This beer does have the qualities such as good drinkability that one would look for in a beer such as this. It's also refreshing with a low abv which makes it an ideal lawnmower beer.
