A: Dark amber with a slight haziness. Forms a rather small almond colored head, but it is fairly stable. There is some minimal lacing.
S: Aroma is pretty good with a blend of sweet caramel malts and lots of fruity, juicy hops.
T: Taste is even better than the aroma and I've got to admit this is the most perfectly balanced IPA I've ever had. Starts off with a slight sweetness: caramel and toffee with a little toast. Then the hops kick in: primarily citrus, orange, and grapefruit with some pine and a slight hint of tropical fruits. Then there is a bit of spice on the finish and the alcohol just barely peeks through.
M: Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation and a mild to moderate bitterness.
O: A pretty good DIPA (damn these shitty new ratings). About as perfectly "balanced" as a DIPA could ever be and I'm the type who enjoys my DIPA heavy on the hops. But this one still gets it right with a complex blend of both malt, hops, and even a little bit alcohol as well. Very nice.

Poured from a growler into a Teku glass
A: Deep orange with a one-finger head
S: A nice blend of all things hops- citrus, pine, tropical fruit with none standing out over another
T: Matches the nose- a balanced blend of all things IPA without any one note standing out
M: Full-bodied but dangerously balanced- not a hint of alcohol
O: A really well-made, balanced, tasty DIPA

Bright golden color. Orange on the nose. Nicely balanced fruit and malt with a nice long finish. Yum!
