A: Dark amber with a slight haziness. Forms a rather small almond colored head, but it is fairly stable. There is some minimal lacing.
S: Aroma is pretty good with a blend of sweet caramel malts and lots of fruity, juicy hops.
T: Taste is even better than the aroma and I've got to admit this is the most perfectly balanced IPA I've ever had. Starts off with a slight sweetness: caramel and toffee with a little toast. Then the hops kick in: primarily citrus, orange, and grapefruit with some pine and a slight hint of tropical fruits. Then there is a bit of spice on the finish and the alcohol just barely peeks through.
M: Medium bodied with appropriate carbonation and a mild to moderate bitterness.
O: A pretty good DIPA (damn these shitty new ratings). About as perfectly "balanced" as a DIPA could ever be and I'm the type who enjoys my DIPA heavy on the hops. But this one still gets it right with a complex blend of both malt, hops, and even a little bit alcohol as well. Very nice.

Poured on nitro at the 6th anniversary
Pours a gorgeous orange with. Lots of white head. Beautiful pour. Smells hoppy up the wazoo. Geat aroma. Lots of pine and citrus. Tastes a bit bitter from the pine. Overall very nice flavour profile. Awesome mouthfeel. Overall very enjoyable

Enjoying this beer on tap at Jackie O's. Beautiful orange amber in appearance. Strong scent of piney/citrusy hops right up front, smooth and balanced flavor, not overhopped like some DIPAs seem to be. Nice finish with a lingering piney flavor. Overall a great DIPA when fresh.
