22oz bottle poured into a Jackie O's snifter. Big thanks to normyk for this beer!! Split with russwbeck.
A - Pours a dark black, looks a little bit thinner than Bourbon Sweet Chocolate Love. Head is about a finger's worth of tan-colored head with moderately low retention. Lacing is pretty good and has some nice alcohol legs.
S - This smells strangely similar to Bourbon Sweet Chocolate Love.. it must be the bourbon barrels used for these (is this Woodford Reserve as well?) but I'm getting slight dark fruits and sweet malts. Has a good amount of roast and bourbon, and vanilla, and again, some tartness like cherries.
T - The taste vindicates the nose and much more. The front end is pretty roasty, bringing smooth coffee. It transitions nicely into big chocolate notes, which melds smoothly into oak, vanilla, and wood. The finish is long and full of bourbon and roast.
M - Mouthfeel is moderately light-bodied with low carbonation. I would like to see this be a bit thicker and chewier, but it leaves a nice coating on the mouth.
D/O - Drinkability is high. Probably one of the lightest RISs I've had, but its chock full of flavor. Alcohol is well-hidden without sacrificing some bourbon flavor.

The beer pours coffee black with a thin halo of tan head that lays content around the glass's circumference. There is negligible carbonation and no sediment. The nose is heavy with bourbon notes, vanilla/caramel oakiness, and has little spice or hops. The taste provides generous chocolately sweetness upfront followed by dark fruits (raisins, black mission figs), coconut, minimal roast/bitterness, and a biting ethanol. It's full bodied, minimally carbonated (but not totally flat), sweet with rich bourbon barrel notes, and has a lingering, slightly dry, boozy oak in the finish. This is definitely a potent bourbon infused stout that has left me completely satisfied from availability to execution - would recommend to others.
