A nearly white head sits on top of a dark amber beer. The head dies down quickly, leaving a good ring. The beer laces up rather well too.
Pine, grapefruit and a floral aroma all speak of a strong hop presence.
Grain with a little sweetness opens this one up. Floral hops transition to grapefruit, which in turn moves on to pine. Interesting progression. A little spicy.
This one is good and sticky. Medium bodied. Really leaves a good residue as it passes.

Made my first in-person trip down to Jackie O's this Valentine's weekend for my birthday. Needless to say, I was quite excited and encountered an impressive lineup.
Appearance- Pours a slightly hazy golden with about a finger of white head that sticks around for a bit before dying back to a thin coating. Some small amounts of lacing left.
Smell- Wow, smells like a west coast IPA here! Lots of huge grapefruit and pineapple notes dominate the nose. Smells very tropical and creamy.
Taste- Up front with lots of grapefruit rind and pineapple. Almost devoid of any notes of pine or resin from the hops, really dominated by a fruity juiciness that surprised me. Finishes with a nice drying hop punch.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability- Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with a solid amount of carbonation. Drinkability is excellent and I could have sessioned this one if I hadn't want to try a variety of the other beers being offered.
Overall, possibly the best IPAs I've ever had at a small brewpub. Really quite good and paired with the Matriarch DIPA were probably the best beers of the evening.

I've been keeping an eye out for offerings from Jackie O's, I've only had one big bottle from them. This is the 3rd can, and the one I'm most likely to enjoy since it's an IPA, and not an amber or brown ale. Appears copper with a slightly hazed body big khaki head forms thick, fine even patterns of speckled lacing. Aroma has big resinous and citrus hop layers blended with some malts in the backend. Just enough malts to stand up to the hop bill, this is IPA the way I like it a bit abrasive on the senses but balanced overall. Flavors upfront big resinous hop layers, citrus peel mainly an orange/grapefruit peel sensation with enough punch from sugary malts to leave a bit of balance on the palate. Big bitter finish nice and dry on the palate no more than medium bodied, this is a great canned IPA I'm glad I got ahold of some of it finally. A great beer to be enjoyed by any true hop head the hops don't die down throughout the can carbonation is dead on mellow enough not to offend me but there's enough there to carry the resinous hop oils across my palate. Overall I'm glad I found this, thanks to wvsabbath for rolling with me on a beer hunting expedition, Zombie Dust was sold out but 2/3 Three Floyd's targets were available for purchase!!!

Pours amber and clear from the can, with a very good head.
Feel: The not quite medium body is a bit thin but with well set, medium carbonation.
Taste: Herbal and weedy hops with barely detectable bready malt; moderately bitter for style.
O: slightly above average IPA

Dark orange brown body with a soft white head. Orange, pine, slight strawberry and passion fruit in the nose and taste. Medium body with a slight sticky hop presence. Overall, a flavorful IPA that has a lot of sweet fruit flavor balanced with a slight bitterness.
