Took a growler of this with me on my FL trip, wound up cracking it at Brick Store with Lee and a few locals. Review from notes.

Pours with a low rising dark head, as thick and black as most Dark Apparition incarnations. Maybe some hints of spotty lace, but this was never DA's strong suit and the coffee likely only inhibits this even more.

The aroma was outstanding to say the least. Brad brews this with fresh coffee grounds and this methods suits the beer impeccably. The coffee is strong and potent. Roasty without being bitter or brash. Roasty dark malts play well off of all the coffee, and though you don't really taste it, bready, soft chocolatey notes are also to be found through the aromatic exploration of this beer.

Lots of the fresh ground coffee flavor going on as well. I'd gladly drink this alongside my other favorite coffee stouts: FBS, Bells Java, and Speedway.

Nice smooth mouthfeel, not quite chewy like the regular Dark Apparition.

Overall an excellent beer. Glad that this is a semi-regular beer in the lineup at the Jackie O's releases.

A- Pours a dark black color with a thin brown head that leaves some nice sticky lace.

S- Very dark roasted aroma with waves of coffee and alcohol. A faint smell of bourbon is noticeable aas well.

T- Huge roasted barley flavor with some smoke and a good dose of coffee. At nearly 11% (as posted on the chalk board) the alcohol is well hidden but still present.

M- Full bodied with good carbonation. Maybe a touch thin but still quite thick.

O- A very solid RIS but im anxious to try some of the other dark apparition versions.

A- Pours a black color with pretty much no head except for a handful of bubbles and no lacing at all.

S- A bit of darker fruits, chocolate, smoke and fairly light in coffee.

T- Follows the base beer really well with just a nice hint of coffee to it.

M- Fuller side of medium and low carbonation.

O- A very solid brew for sure. I wish the coffee a bit stronger though.

On tap at the Anniversary party. I had this side by side with the Kopi, and while is good, the Kopi is killer... Black body with a nice light tan head, good retention, not much lace... Tons of coffee on the front of this, black roasted coffee with an fresh herbal note to it. A little one dimensional but the I like the new coffee note... The taste is like the nose, fresh roasted coffee. This has a touch more going on you get some sweet creamy chocolate notes, but this is all about the coffee. In the middle of the variants but I would have it again.

On tap with the other varieties... finally got around to uploading this review.
Pours Dark and smooth as with the other variations. Tons of head on the pour that hangs around forever. Can smell the coffee a mile away. The smell is that of a GREAT cup of coffee. Tastes a little over roasted but otherwise top nottch. The flavour profile is amazing if just a bit overwhelming. The mouthfeel is smooth and strong. A bit of bitterness that hurts the drinkability but overall very nice

On Tap at Jackie O's this past weekend.

A - Black colored beer with a finger of tan head that dissipated to a cap.

S - A big dose of coffee that is slightly earthy and a little bit "green." The brewer metioned it was a little like green peppers and after pointing that out it could be found if you looked for it. Huge roasted notes.

T - I think this is on par with the top coffee stouts around. The coffee is prominent and bittering, with good roast and a little bit of cocoa. It is coffee-foward, but holds the base beer characteristic quite well. Very nice.

M - Good carbonation and full bodied.

D - I got through this quite easily, and it's good enough to keep drinking. There isn't necessarily one characteristic that blows you away, but its quite balanced for a big coffee beer. Could definately drink this regularly.

On tap at the Jackie O's Anniversary Extravaganza. Served side-by-side with a few of the other versions.

Pours a very dark brown color with a thin whisp of a tan head. There is a low cap as it falls with a few bubbles around the edges. The nose brings a strong coffee character that is somewhat unique. The coffee is slightly-roasted, but also brings a fairly-prominent earthy aroma. A bit of dirt in there, in a good way.

The taste is quite similar, though backs off a bit on the coffee. The base flavors are in there with a bit of roast and light chocolate character. The mouthfeel is medium with a pretty good roasted coffee character and nice carbonation. Overall, a pretty good beer that I was happy to try out.
