Many thanks to csmiley for the bottle!
Middle of Nowhere pours a very dark chocolate fudge color. Looks onyx. I’m not seeing any light cut through. A modest darker tan head rises just above the surface and falls back quickly. It held at the surface for a bit. Lacing was sticky, but lighter.
The nose is good, but could use more strength. The nose kicks off with a nice mix of chocolate and roasted malt notes. Smells like they’re equally strong. Roasted coffee is noted and smells delicious. Nice complement to the malts. It definitely has a sweet smell. I am picking up a bit of a maple scent. I’m not getting any honey though. Alcohol is blended well. It doesn’t come through at all. Smells good. More strength would help a little though.
The flavor rocks! This is impressive. The malt base consists of roasted and chocolate varieties. The chocolate tastes mostly like bittersweet dark chocolate. It definitely a strong sweet flavor. I’m sure it’s, in part, attributed to the maple syrup. It comes through nice and clear in flavor. Honey is noted and complements the other elements nicely. The use of maple and honey really worked out well here. Roasted coffee is secondary, but tastes really nice. Alcohol is buried. I’m not getting any. Finishes chocolaty and sweet.
Middle of Nowhere has a medium body. Carbonation is nice and light. It goes down super easy and smooth. This bomber is disappearing very quickly. If I had another here, I’d be tempted to crack it tonight. It really is that good.
Middle of Nowhere is a really nice Stout from Jackie O’s. I was curious as to how the use of maple syrup and honey would turn out. The results are very impressive. There aren’t any material issues here that need to be addressed. It’s very solid all-around. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely check this one out. Thanks a ton, Chris!

On tap at Jackie O's. Huge thanks to Brad for grabbing us a sample of this. Served in a snifter.
Pours a very dark brown with a thin mocha head and a light collar around the edges, especially with a good swirl. Managed not to spill this one on myself due to poor swirling technique. The nose really showcases the maple as well as a bit of the honey. The maple character is really impressive and consists alongside some light roast character and some sweet malt. Touch of brown sugar there as well. The flavor is really nice with a really nice maple presence. Maple flavor and only a bit of the sweetness. Really smooth and drinkable, especially at 7%. Really great flavor integration throughout; fantastic beer as is and I'm really looking forward to what a bourbon barrel will do to this one.

Pours a gorgeous dark dark brown. The head is beautiful. Light brown.... Tiny smooth bubbles. Smells sweet and chocolate heavy. Slightly bitter from the roasted malts. Lots of sweetness from the honey/maple. Vry subtle sweetness but smooths and rounds out the beer well. The carbonwtion is light.... Near perfect. Overall top notch.

From notes, at a Jackie O's tasting in May. Graciously provided by Brad, along with some info about how he made it (combination of maple + local honey).
It pours a dark brown color with a tan foam. Really nice aroma of roasted malts and chocolate, very sweet smelling as well. To my mind this tastes quite a bit like chocolate milk, except with a lasting roasty aftertaste. I guess it's hard to detect maple or honey per se, but there's definitely something extra behind the sweetness.
Relatively thick bodied, at least for a 7% ABV stout. This went down extremely well, so much so that I bought a growler to go.
