Thanks to brew3crew for sending me a growler Friday. Had 1/2 last night, will drink the other half tonight.
Poured from the growler into my Stone IRS tulip.

Pours a rusty red color, light carbonation with slight thin head, no lacing.
Smells old, musty, malty, like dark sweet moldy fruit, but nice not off-putting. As it warms, more spices are noted.
Mouth-feel is smooth, slightly oily, slick, but in a good way.
Taste: never had a beer like this. Fruity sweetness to start, then malt and biscuit. Alcohol bite on the swallow then hop bitterness with the finish. Later on more spices come forward.

Overall: oh my, very tasty, unusual. I give it a solid A.
Thanks Jason!

rich dark amber color that was somewhat hazy and cloudy. A nice head of white came up over the top and settled down into a thin veil that stayed on top throughout the session. The aroma was loaded with grains, nice light fruit notes, hints of honey and a light bit of alcohol. Nice sharp bite as I take my first taste, rich flavor here, more so then I have seen in the style before. Nice flavor of honey soaked oak that came across the tonge very quickly. Smooth, mellow carbonation really let the flavor explore the palate as light noted of fruit, peaches and nice touches of light grain and spice. Very intresting and very smooth with almost no hotness even with the very high alcohol in this one. Overall another really big winner from the guys up north

Pours a dark hazy reddish orange with just a touch of head. Looks like i would expect a braggot to look like.
Smells Nutty and honey heavy. A bit boozy. The aroma is muddled compared to the taste.
Tastes nutty and honey heavy. Boozy, like a wonderful alcoholic baklava. Brad hit this one on the head.
Good thick rich mouthfeel. Overall a bit harsh but great

On-Tap at the brewpub on 10/28

Appearance - A nutty brown, with the appearance of walnut or almond. Served in a tulip with a thin membrane of froth on the top. Laces nicely to the glass. The beer is cloudy without being murky, and appears to have low carbonation.

Smell - Cinnamon and spice is immediately noticeable. A bit of a fresh fall nature smell that is reminiscent of a golden-apple crisp tree. Smells just a tad sweet.

Taste - Surprisingly light. Full of cinnamon and, of course, walnut. A nice light burn on the aftertaste. Heavy in dark plum and golden delicious apple. Some heavy purple grapevine notes as well. Noticeable bitter honey makes itself known throughout.

Mouthfeel and overall- Easily drinkable and fresh. Perfect for a crisp fall day. I was expecting a bit of a bolder body, but still good.

Poured from growler into tulip -

A: Poured a deep burnt honey hue with one finger head that dissipated into a thin off white lacing , good carbonation.

S: Honey , cinnamon , slight malt

T: Honey , sweet malts , slight cinnamon , walnut

O: Overall this was a treat to drink , It reminds me of a nice winter warmer with mild sweetness and light spice - The slight cinnamon in the finish is very good and it gives off a nice warmth.

Careful this one will sneak up on you .

Well done Brad, can't wait to see how you tweak this one and hopefully it becomes a regular @ Jackie O's.

Rich looking clear amber pour with almost no head. The nose is reminiscent of sweet white grapes with a touch of honey sweetness and flintstone vitamins (yes you read correctly). The taste is more potent with a forefront of tart white grapes/lemon, a slight nuttiness, and a honey finish. This beer is very well executed in my opinion boasting lots of fruit and spice, but lacks in the alcohol presence that I expected.

12oz growler into tulip glass. Thanks to seeswo for sending this one.

A: Pours light amber, some off white bubbles which recedes to a ring and lasts for the duration.

S: Bready, sugar, dry cinnamon and spice (like cardamom), and a little toffee-ish malt. Quite fragrant.

T: Graham cracker, nuttiness, spices (cinnamon, clove). Surprisingly dry.

M: Medium body and medium-light carbonation, with crispness. No alcohol present.

O: Captures the namesake very well. I was expecting something completely different based on the name (heavy and sweet), but it turned out to be a tasty, dry, spice-forward beer. This is a good cold weather beer that manages to be light and not sugary.

I had this on-tap at Jackie O's during the release this week. Served in a sample glass.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy reddish amber with hardly any head at all.

Smell: Lots of cinnamon with some sweet, bready malt. There are some fruity notes in there as well.

Taste: Very sweet but not in a cloying way. Spiced very well, picking up some cinnamon. There is a mild alcohol note and a bittersweet finish. The nutty cinnamon flavor that lingers is amazing and really reminds me of baklava.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with tingly carbonation and a dry finish.

Overall: I was really excited when I heard that this beer would be at the release. The aftertaste is just wonderful. The spices and sweetness mix very well.
