Incredible complexity and color. Very nice beer all-around. Wish I could get my hands on more.

Dark reddish brown color, not much of a head. Pretty mediocre appearance.
Smells fairly sweet, molasses and butter, weird dark fruit, mild tartness, some slightly off scent that reminds me of dirt or gravel. Might be oxidized.
Tastes fairly sour, some strange green fruit, mild sweetness. That odd gravel flavor unfortunately returns in the flavor.
Carbonation is pretty low, between that and the mediocre taste it's hard to drink much of this.
Not very impressed with this. Maybe the least good Jackie O's bottle I've tried other than infected ones. It's not terrible, we all finished it, but it was really not very good. I remember liking it better on tap but didn't take notes then.

A - Pours a dark ruby-brown but looks black in the glass. A small tan head forms, fizzes and moves to the edgess.
S - Barrel funk, ripe fruit, plums, raisins, grapes.
T - Very sour, funky wood, then some plum-ripe fruit, then finishes sour again.
D - Good carbonation with a medium body.
O - Funk and tart, plums are there but more ripe fruit, good beer.
