2011 vintage. Bottle # 81/204.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy bone head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is sour and tart with peach, fruit, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with peach and wood flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer that is tasty and easy to drink.

Thanks to rudzud for sharing, 2011 vintage bottle # 130/204

Decent fizzy bubbly 1/2 finger head fades semi quickly, light lacing, mostly clear blond apple juice colored.

Nose floats out everywhere after the pour, tons of tart sour fruit, tangy sour funky peach, plenty of peaches not necessarily fresh but peach nonetheless, light blonde malt, hint sweetness, nice tart lactic acid and lacto sour funk, light vanilla oak barrel, smooth and round. Peach also brings other light stone fruit like nectarine.

Taste comes in waves. First hits with a nice sour fruit, tart peaches and stone fruit, again not fresh but soft fermented aged fruit. Then an oak layer hits, vanilla, dusty oak, etc. Next tart sour lambic like funk, lacto sourness, little creamy, and lactic acid. Next malts kick in with some light blonde ale sweetness and light toasty bready malt with light yeast. Then more fruit, again tart sour like peach and flemmy. Finish is flemmy, tart sour peach fruit, little bready funk, light barrel, light acetic acid and creamy lacto.

Mouth is med to lighter bodied, flemmy and sour, nice carb.

Overall quite nice, very good beer, nice aged peaches not fresh but nice, nice sour tart fruit etc.

So I have two of these beers, cracking one with JLindros. Bottle number 130/204, 2011 vintage.

A - poured into a Kate the Great tulip a crystal clear apple juice hue with a quarter inch head that fades to leave light lacing and a thin cloud.

S - Aromas of nice soured blonde, barrel aging notes, sligh vanilla notes. Peach is on the fainter side, definitely an old/aged peach nose. Not fresh fruit, nice skin.

T - Taste is quite pleasant. Starts with some slightly bready blonde notes before tart peach skin takes over. Quite sharp but not overwhelming sourness. Light vinegar notes, floral barrel/vanilla/dusty oak barrel. Some beautiful layers. Of flavor here.

M - Mouthfeel is very sharp and tart with good carbonation super sessionable. Quite nice.

O - Overall I have yet to be disappointed by a Jackie O's beer. This is very complex and layered beer. Not sure if I would age this like the bottle says I could but super amped to have another bottle.

Poured from the bottle into a goblet. This is bottle 73/204.

Appearance: The beer pours a clear golden amber color with just under a finger of creamy off white head. The head leaves a small layer on top of the pour.

Smell: This is a fruity sour vinegar bomb. Lots of sour vinegar and some light, hay like funk. There is a nice peach undertone here as well.

Taste: This is a really nice light sour ale. I'm getting some vinegar and lemon juice sourness right off the bat. The fruit shows up more near the end of each sip. There is a light sweetness and a mild funk. The finish is quite fruity and somewhat acidic.

Mouthfeel: The body is medium with just a touch of syrup to it. The carbonation is fluffy with a very dry finish.

Overall: This is a very sour blonde ale, but it's extremely drinkable. I thought the peach note was really nice. I'd have more in the future if they ever make this beer again.

A - White foam settles to a thin collar, leaving a few wisps on top and negligible lacing. Transparent golden body.

S - Plenty of lactic sourness, peaches and other stone fruits, light acetobacter, musky funk, and light oak. It's largely what you'd expect from an American Wild Ale, but it's well done all the same.

T - The taste is quite similar, but with a bit less funk and a bit more Sweet Tarts candy-esque flavors and a lightly carbonic seltzer finish. Lots of lactic sourness and stone fruits - pretty much what you'd expect from a wine-barrel aged peach sour.

M - Light body, with pleasant but lower carbonation. Dry, with a lightly tannic texture to it and no obvious alcohol. Moderate acidity, but nothing excessive.

D - This is a really nice beer. Good balance of lactic and acetic sourness, with light funky notes. It's a lot like I remembered when we tasted this from the barrels, and I'm glad it didn't get to acetic by the time it was bottled. Jackie O's strongest sour and one I wish they would make in larger quantities.
