Fresh 4-pack as I was passing through Ohio in June. Really solid beer across the board. Pours nice with a big fat head that leaves nice lace. Nose is big as well with nice tropical and herbal notes. Taste follows suit with both the herbal and mango/citrus thing going on. Not sure how the other versions compare. However, would like to see the hop varietal listed on the can since it takes a bit of guesswork and palate work to figure out which one it is.

Had on tap. Golden somewhat cloudy body with a finger of white foam. Smell is citra to the face, with lime, grapefruit, mango, orange, and pine. Taste is pretty much the same, but the citra is allowed to run wild to the finish, very nice bitterness. Body is a little light for dipa, but otherwise great hop textures.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/9/2018. Pours moderately hazy/cloudy deep golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; with great strength. Taste of huge tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit dough, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, honey, biscuit dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; great malt/bitterness balance, and no astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and fairly sticky/resinous mouthfeel that is great. Touch of lingering rind. Mild increasing warmth of 9% after the finish. Overall this is a fantastic DIPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops, fruity yeast, and moderate bready malt sweetness; very smooth and easy to drink for the big ABV with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Extremely juicy/lightly dank hops with English yeast; sizable malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy feeling from lingering bitter dryness. A highly enjoyable offering as expected. Right on par with the other variations I've had so far.

Tastes like I’m eating passion fruit. Very citrusy. Compared to other single hop citras like zombie dust it’s not there but still pretty good

This beauty is unique and tasty. It pours ever so slightly cloudy with fine bubbles. The aroma is terrific, nasty skunky hops, but in reasonable proportions. Every whiff seems different, as there is a lot going on here. The taste similarly baffles. It is sweet, bitter, every so slightly citrusy and somewhat bready (but definitely not white bread). The finish is smooth and creamy. Like many high end Jackie O's products, it is not a good value (pricey).

This is definitely a dreamy brew, and I may guzzle all of the half growler in very short order (and take a snooze).

Recommended.
