The atmosphere to this brewpub is pretty decent. It has ample room inside, but no liquor license for the tables outside, which is too bad, since this would have enhanced the experience. The brewpub specializes in Flamm's, which are thin cracker crusty pizzas. I had a few different iterations of this and they were all pretty good. The service was pretty slow.

As for the beer. I wasn't impressed with any of them. I didn't write down or formally review the beers because none of them would I venture back for another. I had their blanche, which I remember being the best of the lot. It didn't have the florals or the orange rind character to make it even an interesting witbier. Overall, it was just pretty uninteresting beer fare, not all that well made or well crafted. I look at it as brew pub beer for the masses. I had their sampler and I was done.

real cool spot right on st paul in the old part of town. the atmosphere is neat, its a big old building with visible copper brewing gear and condition tanks. neat decor from the old days of the city, canadiens hockey stuff, old pictures, exposed stone. its got a real neat and cozy feel for how big it is. food looks good, but we didnt eat. they only had 4 beers on, as the seasonal was out, but the ones we tried were yummy. the white was the winner i thought of the lot. close to 10 bucks per beer though in canadian dollars is awful steep for what it was. the service was lousy, not that busy and took a long time to get a drink. im real generous with this kind of stuff, so to call it out as bad means it was pretty brutal. not interested or friendly at all, and certainly not attentive, but we sat at the bar and it might be better at a table. overall a fun place to step in out of the cold and grab a classic canadian beer, but bring the pocket book and some patience.

Not much difference between this location vs. Laval. The main exception is the lovely locale of Old Montreal--if you can get onto the patio on a pleasant summer day it is a treat because the street is closed to vehicular traffic.

The service was atrocious--we had to beg a server to come over (one of the four standing idly in a corner). The server turned out to be engaging and friendly--but slow.

Food quality is quite good with interesting fare on offer--always the usual suspects on tap (Brune is best bet) but they're better than OK house beers.

Only brewpub in this part of town.

Located behind my hotel on the beautiful Rue St. Paul. It was the first stop on my mini beer tour of the beautiful and cold city of Montreal.

The interior was cavernous with a very large four sided bar. There were tun. kettles and other brewing paraphanalia present. There was ample seating in the fron bar area and a large dining area.

There were four house beers on tap, all very similar in flavor presumably due to the house yeast strand. The beer were light and flavorful and the service friendly and helpful.

The food was pretty good and suprisingly regional. The location was key as it was the only brewpub in Old Montreal.

Didn't know this was a chain until I saw the sign...visited one in Strasbourg 10 years ago and just thought it was a local microbrewery. So we went in and had a flight, plus the Biere de Mars. We sat at the bar, and chatted w/the bartender, a bloke from Brittany. He was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, chatty, and curious about our opinions of the beer. The beer was good, and after trying the five main varieties on tap, we had a mixed beer drink, the Sortilege, with the blanche, and a whiskey/maple syrup liqueur. The atmosphere was pleasant...perfect for the grey afternoon...it was relatively quiet and open, yet comfortable. A worthwhile stop.

My family visited Montreal while dropping off my eldest for college. We were in Old Montreal and decided to give this place a try. We felt fortunate to have a personable (albeit a little naive on beer) server who was efficient and entertaining.

The beer is not the strong suit here, although it is better than the typical pub offerings of Molson or Labatts. Of the four I tried, I found the La Brune to be the most enjoyable.

The food was fine. Again, it was the typical brew pub fare and not really worth expanding upon.
