The front label of this bottle of Tuborg Green proudly displays the words "Copenhagen, Denmark." But close examination of the back label reveals that this brew was produced in Rajasthan, India.

The beer pours a pale straw body with a thin fizzy head.

The nose is of untoasted grains and rust.

The taste follows the nose. Rusty metal and grains up front with a bit of metallic twang on the back end. The mouthfeel is thin and watery, just like the beer.

As a general rule, it's a good idea to stay away from all the Tuborg products available in India. The sweet malt liquors and lagers available here, in their hop-less sweetness, have a kind of charm. This one fails even to deliver on that level. If you must drink something and this is your only option, you still might pause and ask yourself just how thirsty you are before trying it.

A pale, cloudy yellow color with a finger of head. A fair amount of bubbles visible.

A mild smelling beer. A grainy smell... barely.

Taste is mildly bitter, metallic and dried grain. Puckers the mouth a bit. Not really enjoyable.

Crisp texture. Moderate carbonation.

Not impressed.

A 275ml green glass bottle with a BB of Jan 2013. Picked up as a 4-pack from a supermarket.

Poured into a tulip pint glass. A clear pale-gold colour with plentiful fine carbonation. Forms a small head of white foam that rapidly reduces to a surface layer. Aroma of light malt with hints of stewed leaves, corn, overcooked veg and a faint but harsh sulphurous note in the background. Not nice.

Tastes of light malt accompanied by an unpleasant stewed leaf flavour. Hints of overdone veg, corn and a harsh background quality. Mild, dry bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is light, thin and watery, with tingly carbonation. Slightly astringent, with an aftertaste of stewed leaves.

Piss - not a good lager. The initial aroma/flavour seemed vaguely acceptable, with a hint of noble hops. However, everything went downhill fast once it began to warm up. Bland and boring with disgusting off-notes. Best avoided unless ice cold.

not as bad as folks are making it out to be. pours bright yellow with an average white head. smells like a boring euro brew, old malts and some run of the mill yeast. flavor is surprisingly good, its crisp with some hops throughout, and the malts arent as rotten as the smell suggests. it leaves a bit of a gross aftertaste but it is down easy and nice and refreshing on a hot day. feel is good, its bubbly and light. i can drink a whole lot of these in a sitting. not a good beer, but in a market saturated with bad beer it stands out to me.

The beer is pale straw colored, has a white fluffy heads taht leaves some lacing.

The aroma is weak, some sweetish malt character, slightly smelling of green apples.

Upfront rather sweet, some white bread and sweet lemon juice, a fresh grass bitter finish.

Medium carbonation, soft and a medium body, very little dryness.

Easy to drink, easy to forget.

660ml bottle

A- Very pale unattractive gold. One finger head, shows some decent retention until the first sip; then it disappears completely, leaving no lacing

S- Crisp grassy hops, maybe a hint of lemon. Fresh

T- Mild grainy malts. A hint of fresh, grassy hop bitterness on the tongue. Tastes a bit like an adjunct lager with some kind of a corn-like feel that reminds me of Budweiser

M- Very thin in body. Carbonation is suprsingly low. Overall a quite flat oily mouthfeel

O- Drink this as cold as possible and it will feel like a decent and refreshingly easy beer

I had out of a 12 ounce bottle while in Belgrade, Serbia.
A. It has a light yellow color to it like straw. It has smallish bubbly head that dissipates quickly and doesn't leave behind any lacing.
S. There was a very slight hoppy scent to it.
T. To call this a pilsner is a bit of a joke. It was more of a mild lager, American macro, that leaves a bit of a lagery/sour hangover.
M. Very tart. Perhaps a bit skunked, though, it doesn't look like a quality beer.
D. I was done after one. Too sour and tart, no flavor, bad aftertaste.

The one i reviewed was brewed by Ringnes in Norway i think, and I think thats why it doesn't get so good grade from me. i recall tasting a one bought in Denmark, and if i recall correctly, it was better than the one im reviewing now.
The apperence of this beer is OK. it has yellow/gold colour.
In my eyes its the taste that ruins it for me. it tastes like cheap generic lager.
if you like Tuborg Grøn, i would not recommend drinking those bought in Norway

Clean & chemically with some malts.

Pours a hazy, golden yellow colour that looks like urine. It has plenty of carbonation that settles and a pour head that disappears very fast.

Chemical type flavours with some corn & hops plus a slightly off taste. Has a strange & unpleasant aftertaste as well.

Thin bodied with lots of fizz. Quite smooth overall with crisp but slightly dry finish.

A very poor beer & only just drinkable.

Had at Toronto International Airport.

A: Slightly draker yellow bordering on orange with active carbonation and thin head.

S: Generically clean, not much smell.

T/M: Relatively well-carbonated with slightly medicinal hop bite at the end. Other than that, some adjunct malt flavor, not much.

D: Drinkable? Yes. But medicinal hop taste is slightly off-putting.

A - Poured out a clear, straw yellow color with a one-finger, white head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing.

S - It smelled of grains and caramel. There was a slight skunky aroma.

T - It tasted of sweet caramel and grains. There was bitterness present but it wasn't from hops.

M - It was crisp, sharp and dry. A light bodied lager.

D - This is an okay lager. I'd like to try it out of something other than a green bottle.

A- straw colored poured from the 33 cl green bottle (suspicions tell me this may be skunked, although I don't know if that would change much) head is small that dissapears to thin lacing.

S- I'm not a super smeller, so I tend to smell and drink throughout the entire experience and decide afterwards. This one is grassy and corny. Not much else going on here.

T- this eurolager is fizzy. Cooked veg and corn are sandwiched between grassy over cooked hops and a metalic taste I can't put my finger on. Luckily not noticeably skunked.

M- fizzy, thin and at times syrupy.

D- I can expect only so much out of this style. So when enjoying something like football on a summer afternoon, I'm content with something about as pedestrian as the actual activity. It also wasn't entirely offputting considering the potential skunkability. Decision- run of the mill macro

33cl bottle poured into half pint glass

A- Pale straw yellow with a soapy 2 finger head reducing to faint crown very quickly with minimal lacing.

S- Grassy hop note, grain, a sticky syrupy malt note.

T- Reflects the nose - thin hop bitterness combined with a sticky sweet malt underbelly.

M- Thin, highly carbonated, spritzy

D- Another dull mass produced lager. Not much else to say really. Boring and instantly forgettable. I think on a blind taste test of Tuborg, Stella, Carlsberg, Budweiser,Miller etc i would be struggling to detect much difference really. Pass

Pours a rather pale straw body with plenty of carbonation. Produces a bright white head that disappears quickly, leaving only a ring of residue clinging to the glass and body. Aroma is lacking - smells slightly like wet grass. Taste is almost non-existent, slight bitterness. There is a crisp mouthfeel when served just above freezing, but overall it's thin and watery. Drink it fast and cold. Wouldn't reach for another.

Had at ITC Mahashtra in Mumbai 8/24/09
This beer pours a pale straw yellow with a thin fluffy one finger of white head. Head retains alright, leaving big soapy lacing on the side of the glass. Nose is sweet, corn based adjuncts, with a hint of grass. Taste has a malt character that is not detectable in the nose. Definite presence of grass, grains, and corn. Finish has a bite to it, though no real hop is present. Light bodied, high carbonation, feels very thin, somewhat watery. Goes down easily, but nothing very special.

Poured into a beer mug from a 22oz bottle. Dull yellow colour with a 1 finger head that vanished by the time the first glug was over. Smell was nothing to relate to except that of a normal lager, although smelt rather fresh. Taste was a pleasant surprise, nice and crisp with a sweetness that lingered for a while which ended with a bitter note. Mouthfeel was rather thin and was very mediocre on fizz. Drinkable anytime of the year, in the genre of a Carlsberg / Heineken.

Poured from 275ml bottle into a half pint lager glass.

It seems Tuborg lager is taking over from Corona as the "cool" beer, fortunately it has a bit more of a taste to it than it's predecessor - operative words here: a bit more. From now on you are likely to see it being drunk by indie kids, and pretentious skinny jeans wearing kids. Ultimately, by people who drink for the brand and not for the taste.

A - Pale golden body, with a big white fluffy head. To be honest it is not that distinguishable from any other standard lager. Very carbonic, as would be expected.

S - There doesn't seem to be much on the nose, apart from weak metallic smell. The smell is not unpleasant, there is just not much to it.

T - Crisp, and refreshing. A little flat for a lager, and deceptively so, considering the appearance.

M - More flat than I was expecting, however, I think these lagers are made to be drunk from the bottle, and maybe a lot of the liveliness is lost when pouring into a glass.

D - Although it does lack a certain fizz, it is still a refreshing lager when served ice cold. However, there are certainly much better lagers out there.

Poured from a green bottle into a Carlsburg glass in Roma, Italy on June 11th, 2009. 5 Euros (about $7.50 USD). Review from notes.

A Like a light Euro lager. Boring look. Thin, dissapearing head.

S Smelled exactly like a Heinekin.

T Like a Heinekin but possibly a bit more grainy (barley and malt).

M Thin.

D Good but I will not purchase this a second time.

Notes: The first in a long line of failed attempts at finding a gem while on vacation in Italy....I did eventually find some good stuff but it was after too many of these....

Clear, not that great in taste, kind of a tangy bitterness. It smelled o.k. but just not very easy for me to drink. I tried it on more than one occasion to make sure I wasn't wrong about it. And while others drink a lot of it, I just didn't care much for it. I love to try beers from all over and would give this beer another chance, but first few impression where not very impressive.

275 mL poured into a glass.

This lager gets straight average ratings, because that's what it is. It's really a challenge writing 250 words about this. It's not terrible, it's not great. It's just semi-bland Euro lager.

I bought this on sale at the Co-op. Buy one get one free. That's really the only reason to get this.

Appearance: Poured from the 500mL green glass bottle with a pull top into a small glass. The beer is an extremely light straw color, vrey clear, and looks pretty watery actually. Head is pure white and reached 2 fingers before fizzling out somewhat quickly.

Smell: There is something off about the smell here at first glance, and it's not skunked. Upon deeper examination, it's a typical grainy aroma with a hint of grass.

Taste: Watery with a grainy finish. Not much to say here. Finishes with a grassy note. There is something unpleasant about this beer that makes it not refreshing.

Mouthfeel: Light and crisp - typical.

Notes: I don't think I'd pick this up again. It's light, but not refreshing. It doesn't have a lot of taste, and where it does, it's not very good.

0.5 l bottle in Budapest

Very foamy white head, light golden colour with tons of carbonation bubbles, good and sticky lacing. Strong grassy hops aroma. Taste is mostly sweet grainy malt, very weak hops, somewhat industrial feel to it. Carbonation medium, ligh/medium body.

I liked it, but have to admit I was quite thirsty, I suspect the taste would possible seem worse some other time.

Light white foam.

Not much of a smell; like any run-of-the mill lager

Nice flavor; mild, light, low hops

Light feel, medium carbonation

Very drinkable, light, cold, refreshing. Nothing huge in the taste / flavor department, but everything else I had in Italy beer-wise was so bad, this stood out. Drink the wine. Average, but very drinkable.

Tried this at a hotel here on my Italian honeymoon.

A: Very pale, kind of a week looking body. Decent amount of head.

S: Sweet, candy like malt aromas dominate the nose with just a trace of hops to keep it from being overbearing.

T & M: Very sweet malt with a light, pretty thin body througout. The candy like sweetness becomes even more pronounced as the beer warms, and kind of tastes like a sweet apple jolly rancher. Touch of hops at the end, but not really enough there to balance the sweetness.

D & Notes: Not really impressed at all with this one. Too sweet, and the malt sweetness is not pleasant at all. Had a hard time even finishing one bottle I poured. It was served a bit too warm, but in my opinion, this brew would have to be ice cold to even consider having more than one. Plus, I cannot imagine buying this in the U.S. after it traveled overseas.

This beer has a very unique taste to it that you will not find anywhere else. The best thing to drink on a rainy winterday in the middle of the baltic see. Beatiful name too: Groen Oel. Golden color, nice carbonation. Unique hop aroma. Some kind of hey taste. Well it is a mass product. My favourite mass product Pilsner.
