July 2002, in Denmark: Weak head, golden colour, alcoholic flavour with barely enough maltiness and very moderate hops. Average at the best. Not a beer I'll buy again.

bought in the 7/11 in copenhagen central train station, consumed in an apartment in malmö after a long day of travelling, picked it up because the “luxury” in the title made me giggle, as euro strong lagers go (a style i do not care for) it’s actually not bad, it’s sweet and caramely and biscuity and brown bread malty like you’d expect, but there’s no astringent flavours at play either, and it’s boozy but not overwhelmingly so, also it isn’t too sweet either, low bitterness on the finish, medium to full bodied with medium to high carbonation, yeah its alright to be fair to it

A strong lager beer. Good color, head and a reasonable taste of maltiness and sweetness. A hint aftertaste of ethanol but doesnt destroy the overall picture of a drinkable tasty strong Danish beer.

A: Lots of small rising carbonation, rich bright golden color, very even head, transparent, sustained half finger head.
S: Yeasty, almost amber, almost floral, creamy
T: Indeed a strong pilsner. More intense in flavor but the alcohol doesn't pop out, fruity mambas flavor tucked behind.
M: Mild carbonation, barely dry.
O: Nice, like belgian strong ales.

Catch up rating from notes, 2012: 33 cl Bottle picked up at a German market.Pours out a medium golden, clear, foamy head that disappears. Aroma has some elements of cheese, piquant, grassy. Sweet malts take over in the taste, more of the funky barnyard elements linger on the palate. High octane for a Euro lager.

Got this bottle last night at 7 Eleven down on the corner from my Hotel Nebo here in Copenhagen and having it warm tonight. Poured with a big soap sudsy head and some frothy lace. Color is polished brass. Aroma is malty, a bit hoppy, perfumey, and seaweed. Quite sweet. Hint of bitterness. Body is soft. Not too good. Finsih is sweet with a hint of bitterness. One of those beers that gets better cold.

I feel this beer is getting a bad rap, I had to reconsider some of my ratings because I fear my taste is not as refined. Overall, I do not think the beer is as terrible as other beers I have tasted.

A: Very light yellow with a not-so-impressive head.
S: I did not catch the puke aroma, but the initial smell was not pleasant. It was not until after I drank some of the beer that the smell made more sense and was not bad.
T: Very sweet taste, but also dry. You can not taste the high alcohol directly, but you will notice that it is high in alcohol by the way it feels in the mouth.
M: A huge burst of carbonation after the initial drink into the mouth. Uncomfortable to a degree.
D: This drink with the high ABV and carbonation will wear you down and make it difficult to drink in volume.

The colour is deep straw yellow; the foam quickly sinks down to a thin, thin white layer, leaving some lacing.

Alcohol dominates the smell. There are also some sweet grassy notes of wet paper and... To be frank: Puke. There are also some chemical bitter notes.

The taste is malty, sweet, mild, and oily with some bitter notes. On the positive side: The alcohol is not so obvious as it could be in pale euro lagers of this strength. On the negative side: It is unbalanced with odd dry grassy notes, alcohol and a quickly growing bitterness that tastes more like baking powder than anything else.

The carbonation is quite strong with some big bubbles. It probably hides some of the alcohol. The alcohol, on the other side, feels a little like vodka in the back of the mouth.

Not a very good beer. On the other side, I have had much worse pale strong lagers.

I don't think a beer could get any worse. Sickly sweet flavour, with an obvious 7.5%ABV, vomitous, with burning alcohol at the end, trulely horrific beer, nothing particularly "fine" about it, unbelievably crappy lager. I'm really regreted picking up a bottle of this before i hopped on the ferry back to Sweden.
