Solid Irish Dry Stout. Pours from a pint bottle as a dark brown color with no light showing through. A hard pour gives a medium dark tan head with less than average retention and some lacing.

Nose is fairly robust, roasted malt and some chocolate. There is a little vinuous quality that is usually found only in much richer and powerful Double stouts.

Taste is pretty good as well. The flavor matches up well with richer and higher abv stouts. Roasted malt, chocolate and a little port wine are all featured here

Mouthfeel is crisp and light. More carbonated on the pour, Less so by the finish. There is a little hint of bitterness in the finish.

I had this beer with a steak and baked potato. The beer was a good complement to the food. I would drink this one again.

Pours jet black with a foamy to creamy tan head. Plenty of lacing sticks.

The smell is of milk chocolate and deep-roasted coffee. Robust.

The taste is of bittersweet chocolate with roasted coffee. A touch of anise and earthy hops in the finish.

Creamy and smooth! It appropriate for the style - full, but not thick.

A very impressive, dark, bittersweet stout. Very well-done!
