Strikingly dark in color, but almost no head. Barely one finger of tan head with no retention.
Smells quite good. Chocolate, coffee notes.
A little light in the flavor department. Some coffee, roastiness, but lack of malt leaves it out of balance. Has an interesting citrus tang to it.
Very water, thin mouthfeel for a stout.
Serving type: bottle

Poured from a growler into a pint glass.
Dark opaque with a thick three finger head due to a vigorous pour. Lacing does noy stick to the sides of the glass.
Smells like a mud puddle. It is an earthy aroma. Not sweet or stoutish.
Simple and laid back. Not a lot going on.
Light carbonation. Thin but not too much for a stout.
Not a favorite. But a straight forward stout.
Serving type: growler
