Hazy, amber/orange appearance with a large, off white head and decent lacing. Yeasty, sweet, caramel malt aroma with notes of apple and honey. Mild floral hops are dominated by grainy, sweet malts and crisp fruit flavors. Funky, medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel leading to a lingering finish.

solid beer, a little different than most Mai bocks. Lighter body helps make it easy drinking. Some what like a German pilsner on steroids. Sweet and bitter at the same time it seems like.

taste: Light sweet malt, bread. touch of honey and maybe corn on the malt side of it. Plenty of Floral hops with a touch of citrus/lemon, but it is not over hopped. Has a bit of astringency to it maybe a spicy/pepper note? slightly dry finish.

This beer grows on ya, the more of it you drink you the more you love or hate it. I want more.

Brewery notes
Experience pale malt flavors deftly balanced with savory hops in our spring lager. Dry hopping and extended aging give this blonde bock its distinctive floral aroma, enticing hop bite and smooth malt finish. Malts: Pale, Caramel, Wheat
Hops: Mt. Hood, Tettnanger, Willamette

This is a 12oz. bottle gently poured into a Sprecher pint glass. There is about one finger of foam, pure white, over a clear light amber beer. The head settled to a thin layer leaving very thick lacing on the side of the glass. There is a nice steady flow of carbonation. Very nice!
The aroma is a great lager malty scent.
The flavor has a nice, slightly sweet then a bit of a bitter hops to finish the taste, peppery maybe, spicy.
This beer is very easy to drink, just what I was hoping for after a hard days work.

Poured from the bottle into a pokal style glass.

Caramel to copper orange body color, with a nice mix of chestnut hue along the edges. Off white head, almost khaki color slightly, with a good thick lather. Reaches an easy three fingers in height, with a good amount of sheet and sticky lacing. Very nice looking brew.

Aroma continues the pleasantries. Very nutty and caramel sensing malts, giving a great caramel and hazelnut like flavor. Good sensing sweetness, nearly flirts with toffee, but far lighter. Clean sensing as well, great smelling bock.

Palate delivers simply. Light bodied and fully supportive of the flavors. A bit of licorice bitterness at first, but then makes some light caramel tones to go along the first sip. Clean finish with a bit of muted hop herbality, but also manages some of that chestnut and hazlenut flavor without much tannic dryness.

Pretty solid and drinkable bock.

Fine copper-gold tinged body; thick, sticky head; rings of foam adhering to the glass. Caramel malt aroma with suggestions of dried yellow fruits. Lots of sweetness to the taste; caramel; some bitterness but nearly buried beneath the sugars. Heavy with residual sugars.

This beer suffers from too much residual sugars. It dominates the taste and mouthfeel and makes for a heavy-handed beer.

Enjoyed from the 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This nice Maibock pours a honey amber color with a very nice head of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin layer, and nice lacing. Nose of subtle breaded malts, moderate herbal hops, and sweet malts mixed with grain notes. Flavors follow the nose with honey touched grains and light breaded malts to the front and middle, subtle caramel starts middle and fades to a stronger grain note on the back with a nice herbal hop finish. Highly quaffable with medium high carbonation and a subtly dry, grain touched finish that lingers.

A solid offering from a very good brewery.

Cheers

Pours a beautiful clear amber with a moderate slightly foamy white head. Great retention is aided by the moderate carbonation. The aroma is almost nonexistent with just a faint whiff of grain. The taste is almost the same but with an additional barely there grassy hops note. The body has a nice weight, light but not thin with just a slight carbonation tingle. With more flavor, this would be great.
