Pours a hazy golden-yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, earth, and grass aromas. Taste is much the same with grain and grass flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is refreshing, tasty, and easy to drink.

22 oz bomber bought from Winco supermarket in S,Salem. $3.71 pours a bright joyful yellow ,slightly hazed, with a gorgeous plump and fluffy large white head. Malty, biscuity aroma with a touch of lemon zest andearth..nice stuff. Taste is much the same as the aroma but a bit of hop bitterness right at the end. Very nice mouth feel actually..thicker than expected and very smooth. Excellent summer beer.

Poured into a Sester stange. Pours a light straw amber with a big three finger white head that dissipates slowly go a thick cap, leaving lots of lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, wheat, light caramel and grassy hops, what I expect from a Kolsch. Flavor is more bready malt with some biscuit, light citrus, a hint of wheat and a mild sweet / tart element to the malt and a bit of grassy hops in the finish. Light bodied. A light, malty, good domestic take on this style, with a slight sweetness that is atypical, but mild enough to work out fine. A refreshing light session beer. Nice to see this style being offered in the states; we rarely can sample it fresh.

It pours a clear straw gold, heft amount of foam, has some decent lacing.

The smell is very much like you'd get from a light struck bottle of beer. That aside, there's oodles of grassy hops and some lemon. Malt wise, I don't seem to get any.

Big time grass in the taste with some grain and a real dank bitterness that isn't sharp but it sure does detract from the other flavours.

Good mothfeel but I fear this isn't a very drinkable brew for me.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass

Appearance- The beer pours a golden yellow color with a thick two finger head of pure white foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading to leave a nice level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma is biggest of a lightly bready malt smell with a good bit of caramel and a moderate graininess. Some faint hop aromas being mostly of a floral and herbal nature as well as a lightly lemon smell.

Taste – The taste starts with a quite crisp and bready flavor with a moderately sweet flavor of some orange, corn sugar, and a citrus nature. As the taste advances the sweeter flavors all grow slightly stronger while the bready flavors fade a bit. All while this occurs, so too comes some flavors of a light grassy and herbal nature which bring about a slightly crisper flavor to the beer. In the end with a light lemon flavor also joining the taste, one is left with a sweet, but crisp flavor to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the quite thin side with a carbonation level that is on the higher side. Both are fantastic to the sweet and crisp characteristics of the beer and make for a great summer sipping brew.

Overall – A crisp and lower abv. brew with lots of nice flavors. Quite refreshing and one fantastic brew for the summer months.

Finally a Kolsch style from a NW brewer that is worthy of the association. So many others have tried and left me disappointed ...

Excellent as a food beer or just kicking back. The outstanding feature of this beer was the nose I got just when first opening the bottle. Mmmm, beer!

12oz : stange

Clear, golden yellow with a thick, billowy white head.

Grassy, lightly sweet grains in both the aroma and taste.

Medium body, fizzy, active carbonation and a lightly crisp finish.

A very well done Kolsch, pleasant flavor, easy drinking.
