Poured from a 22oz bottle. A pleasant amount of coffee flavor with less sweetness, which I like. A good buy for a decent milk stout (under $6).

Dark brown/ black/mahogany apprearance, with minimal dark khaki head. Smell is milky coffee, sweet malt, chocolate. Taste is sweet latte', malty roast, carmel and chocolat malt, watered stout mouthfeel. Light-medium body, light roasted coffee, finishing on the sweet side. Getting the 'cold coffee' flavor, however not holding up to the sweet malt and lactose. Pair with sweeter dishes, hazenut.

650 ml bottle, newly available in our market.
Pours deep dark brown, almost black. Small but tight bubbles form a tan colored head. Sheets of lace with every sip, foam lasts til the last drop.
Smell is all coffee, slightly sweet, milk chocolate.
Taste is all coffee too, like a freshly made cup. Malty, roasted, chocolate, then some sweetness like a creamy latte. Nice stout base in the background.
Light to medium body, low but appropriate carbonation, mouth feel could be just a touch thicker.

Poured into a Libbey dark beer goblet.
L: Like any stout, dark brown with nut brown head. Not much lacing.
S: Big coffee, raw chocolate, cream
T: Again, huge coffee dose with a sweet edge enhanced by the lactose with just a twinge of smoke on the back end.
F: Not as filling as an imperial stout, but hefty for a sweet stout below imperial ABV. Very low CO2.
O: Stone Coffee Milk Stout used to be my favorite of the style, but this Oregon beer took its place. It just goes to show that the PNW knows their coffee like they know their beer. Cheers!
