Poured from a 22 oz. bomber to a straight side pint glass (this review from notes taken 8/2/11).
A - Poured a tawny amber orange, with 1/2-finger off off-white medium-to-large bubble head. Great retnention, moderate lacing. Shines bright orange in the light.
S - Lemony/orangey citrus hop, with a little bit of herbiness. Hints of apple, bit of honey, and lavender.
T - Well-balanced citrus/pine hop with orange and caramel sweetness, followed by mild bitterness and notes of sage. Herby and buttery finish.
M - Creamy texture, medium body. Light carbonation tingles the tongue. A bit of warmth with biting bitterness at the back and sides of the tongue.
D - A very good beer. Great citrus/herb hop flavor, and not too bitter. Very pleasant and refreshing, though dry enough to leave you wanting more.
I'm a big fan of Tricerahops.

Poured from bottle into rocks type glass thing in my hotel room.
Nice thick-ish head sits atop for a while and laces nicely. Clear, just shy of amber coloration. Aroma leans to the tropical side, but some resinous tones are there as well. Taste starts off really malty, but bitterness isn't far behind. This is a pretty bitter beer that needs the strong malt backbone to bring it through. Mouthfeel consists of good but not too much carbonation with a thick, chewy, looong finish. Satisfying and even though you know with the assertive malt that it's going to be high gravity and even with the aggressive hopping, it comes across smooth and drinkable.
