bomber to a snifter for a better smell. No freshness date
Pours a vibrant golden orange with a half finger of foam. Yeast chunks floating around, strong carbonation stemming from the center. lacing is meh
Smell of tropical and citrus hops, rich caramel malt, and a nice touch of alcohol. Very strong on the fruits, a little sweetness coming from them. A little too fruity for me, but it comes together pretty well in the end
Taste is with the nose, strong tropical and citrus hops are immediately up front. Nice strong bready caramel malts follow and finishes with a bit of alcohol
Feel is a medium body with a wet finish. Nice mixture of sweet and bitterness, alcohol concealed well also. Easy to drink, no problems finishing the bottle
Overall a solid offering exploring the more fruity side of an ipa as opposed to a piney and grape fruity one. Sort of in the same vein as Fresh Squeezed or Hop Henge. Really great buy for $4.99, wish these were in Nevada

Poured from bottle into rocks type glass thing in my hotel room.
Nice thick-ish head sits atop for a while and laces nicely. Clear, just shy of amber coloration. Aroma leans to the tropical side, but some resinous tones are there as well. Taste starts off really malty, but bitterness isn't far behind. This is a pretty bitter beer that needs the strong malt backbone to bring it through. Mouthfeel consists of good but not too much carbonation with a thick, chewy, looong finish. Satisfying and even though you know with the assertive malt that it's going to be high gravity and even with the aggressive hopping, it comes across smooth and drinkable.

Appearance: Pours an amber/hazy orange color with a white head roughly one finger in height.
Aroma: The abundance of hops in the beer give off strong earthy and floral aromas. Some subtle grapefruit aromas are present as well.
Taste: Similar to the aroma with some strong hop flavors. The citrus is more present in the taste but the earthy and floral notes are still fully there. Almost no malt in the flavor so the freshness of the hops can be appreciated.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied beer with a smooth mouthfeel that makes it very drinkable. For a beer with 8% ABV, it is very smooth and pretty refreshing.
Overall: A very good NW IPA. The freshness of the hops is wonderful and not overpowering in the bitterness aspect. Very drinkable and a good beer to drink on a summer evening. It also has one of my favorite names of any beer.
