I had this in a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy burnt orange with a thin white head that dissipated within about a minute leaving some light speckled lacing clinging lightly.
The smell was basically a light grassy, Lemon, orange and a light caramel malts.
The taste was mainly sweet through the previously mentioned flavors.
The mouthfeel had a fairly decent smooth sessionability about it - as it's slightly refreshing. Carbonation was fairly low but not bothersome.
Overall, decent Summer APA, but nothing to go apeshit about.

One of the darker colored summer beers. Amber and auburn, good 3/4" off white head on it, sweet red malt and light hop aromas.
A mixture of amber ale malts and pale ale hops. Except the hop choice is not ipa/pale territory. Probably don't have to pay much for Millenium, Galena, Northern Brewer and Liberty hops.
Unique beer, and a good one. They should put it in 6 packs.

Faint aroma but big taste. Pours amber with moderate white foamy head. Aroma seems light(fruit, pine), but taste bursts through, citrus, hops, floral notes, finish is semi dry. Light enough for a hot day, but full enough flavor to be enjoyed.

Poured from a bomber into a tumbler on 03.18.14.
A: See through orange. No head.
S: Sour. It does not smell very good.
T: Tangerine dominates. Tart citrus, malt too.
M: Crisp.
O: The tangerine was nice, but the beer seemed unbalanced. It also had a different flavor than what it smelled like. There are much better APAs than this one.

not totally sure how this one qualifies as a summer ale, its huge for a summer pale ale at 6% abv and packs a lot f grain body into this intensely hopped beer. love it, but it doesn't match the season well. well, maybe in oregon it does, i don't know. some serious radiant orange to the color, as the name suggests. well carbonated with lots of tiny bubbles and a bright white head. it smells more bitter than anything else, but i gather some light pine notes from the hops, more dry, like pine cone rather than what we are used to when we think of pine family hops. bigger malt base gives plenty of body and just a touch of caramel sugar to the front end of the flavor and the middle before very very bitter hops take over. this seems to be a theme with ninkasi hop forward beers. the trice
rahops and the total domination were both pungently bitter, and while this one is less so, it follows in that vein. excellent carbonation lightens it up just a bit, but its still a rather filling beer, especially for a warm weather offering. very well made, sturdy as they come, intensely hopped. similar to nothing, i liked this a lot.
