On tap at Horse Brass in Portland, OR. This is a Small Beer made from Critical Hit leftovers.
Thin sudsy, offwhite head, deep brown body. Nice lace.
Faint fruit, berries on the nose?
Light, hop-cola body, spicy finish with hops. Cola flavor barley at the front. Light bodied but by no means weak.
A bit watery in the mouthfeel department... not helping.
Interesting-- the first Small Beer I've tried, and I haven't tried Critical Hit, so not sure what to think.

Poured one finger of head on a clear, deep amber colored body.
The aroma is dry grain and pleasant floral smell.
The taste is mildly bitter with a moderate sweetness to follow, pear and caramel.
The texture is crisp with soft edges and moderate carbonation.

Tap at jones radiator
This beer is amber with excellent clarity and when I smell it, I smell esters. There are sweet malt notes and banana hits interwoven with a sweet alcohol base. It tastes sweet and soapy. There's minimal bitterness and I wouldn't call this an ESB. It is a second rubbings beer and doesn't classify well IMO. As mentioned, the malts seem to have undergone too much sparring and over extraction attempts ended in a dry and disappointing profile. Glad this is a one time.

a - red-brown with light head.
s - biscuit malts with slight caramel notes.
t - mild herbal + spicy hops, light caramel flavor paired with a little biscuit maltiness, dry tannic finish
m - light body with minimal carbonation.
I'd say that the beer is a valiant effort at a second runnings beer. I'd like to to be a little more assertive @ 5.7%, especially in the malt department—it drinks more like a smaller bitter. Also, it has a weird tannic finish that I can only assume is from sparging a wee bit too much that combined with the light body makes it rather harsh in the finish.
