Poured from bottle into SN/DFH Collab glass.
Beautiful. Abundant head retains well.
Aroma nothing to sniff at. Literally. A little weak here. Couldn't pick up much of anything.
Taste another matter. Nice balance of fruity taste from Fuggle hops and barley? So they say.
IBU claimed at 100+ but it's way more balanced than that. Doesn't strike me as a hop bomb which in this case is a good thing. Maybe because it's lacking the bitterness.
Taste lingers in the mouthfeel adding to the enjoyment.
I think this is a home run. Enjoyed immensely.

Appearance. Pours a hazy orange-gold with a finger of off-white head.
Smell. Sweet grapes and tropical fruits, floral hops, slightly metallic, a little citrus and grainy sweet malt. Different and interesting.
Taste. Dark fruits and grapes, grassy hops with a little citrus, bitter earthy finish. Interesting again.
Mouthfeel. Pretty full body with medium-low carbonation.
Overall. Very interesting hops in this one. More of the English varieties I'm guessing, maybe with some west coast style as well. I hate to analyze a beer more than the flavours, so nevermind what type of hops they are, it's just an interesting brew. Would probably really appeal to some, but for me it was just interesting and not amazing. Interesting. ...interesting. Should I say it again?

From a bomber. Clear amber with a huge off white head that lasts a good five minutes. Lacing is good but not great.
Smell is dank.
Taste is malty sweet with the big hops expected but trailing all the way.
Mouthfeel is very close to Barleywine style. Carbonation is just right.
Overall they could cut the malts or sugars back, bump up the hops a bit and have a fine DIPA with a much lower abv. I did not find the alcohol too prominent in the flavor but the sweetness of this beer was too much for me.

Picked up as part of the Ninkasi 4x 22oz mix pack... Poured into my HotD goblet... long lasting light khaki head.. the brew is clear orange.
Hops on the nose show as earthy and grassy.. some sorta peachy fruitiness... pale malts are heavier than a standard PNW DIPA.
Malts on the palate have a definite English influence.. hops are more fruity, but there is still an earthy/grassy element... bitterness balances the malts nearly perfectly.. Very rich across the board.
Body is bigger than the standard drier PNW DIPA.. sorta creamy yet has a good carbonation.
This is a very interesting brew.. Unique in the DIPA land for sure (English malts and hops with a heavy PNW hand.... I like :-) I wish Ninkasi would make this at least a seasonal or take it out of the 4-packs.... I would buy it often.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a nice two finger white head with good retention and tons of lacing. Mild aroma of citrus hops and bready malt. Flavor starts fairly subdued, biscuit malt, mild stone fruits and light hops, but the hops slowly build to a pleasant earthy, lightly citrus and herbal hop bitterness with a nice balance of bittering hops. Nice malt body. Medium, slightly creamy body. A nice change from intense NW imperial IPAs, the basic ale is very British to start, but some of the more herbal fresh hops flavor shows up in the finish. Pleasant and different.

Poured from a 650ml bottle. Pours a rich orangey-yellow colour. There are really inviting notes of caramel, pine, pineapple and marmalade on the nose. Taste-wise these distinct notes don't carry through as much. It's big and sweet and fruity and hoppy, though in more of an earthy way. This drinks more like an imperial English IPA. Very different from Ninkasi's Tricerahops in nearly every way.

A: Pours a clear tangerine with one-inch off-white head which fades to the rim leaving splotchy lace.
N: Initially some floral and citrus notes. On warming mostly malts with trace fruits.
T: Balanced citrus and noble malts with some wheat, biscuits and nutty flavors. Alchohol is notable.
M: Medium body and carbonation. Smooth and bitter finish.
O: Follows the English style with olde malts in front followed by basic hops. Don't expect a West-Coast hop bomb or you will be disappointed, like I was.

Chill hazed orange colored ale with a very tiny white colored head. This is most certainly IPA Orange.
Scent is sweet and most decidedly citrus in aroma. Strong orange, mild mint and strong tea. Mild pine but this is a citrus scented beer.
Starts out sweet with a melon and sweet tea taste. On the sweet side there is and edge of bitterness about it but caramel and melon are the major flavors. Bitterness is moderate.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall an OK beer, but not a great beer.

Purchased at Tacoma Boys. Foggy amber gold in color, some chill haze. Bubbly frothy white head that doesn't sustain long. Smells of the woods and pine or spruce. Very nice aromatics. Taste is smooth and almost creamy. Slight lean toward bitter end of spectrum. Nice hop flavor. Mild sweetness but close to balanced. Not overpowering and actually pretty easy drinking. Body is smooth, creamy with mild carbonation. Very nice beer.
