The colour is gold/pale amber. The liquid is clear; the high head is off-white. It sinks slowly to a firm finger thick lid leaving lots of lacing.

The smell is dry and a bit hoppy. Flowery bitter notes with a hint of nuts and almonds. A hint of hay, rye bread and cream. Like the German märzens, but a bit stronger.

The taste got strong notes of hay/grass/cutting flowers. Some malt sweetness, a clean fresh bitterness, hints of banana candy and an earthy touch. The aftertaste is a bit dry and hoppy in a German/Czech way. Dried fruits, hay and whipped cream blends with an elegant bitterness.

The carbonation is medium, the mild bubbles small. The liquid is a bit creamy.

A positive surprise; this one is up there with the best German Märzens.

A: Copper colored with a medium-sized white head that leaves some lacings.

S: A rather mild smell of caramel malts, toffee, floral hop notes and off-centered herbs. A hint of bread and bark.

T: The taste is somewhat sweet with caramel and slightly toasted malts up front. Gently bready. Notes of earthy and floral hops. The hops don't sit well with the malts in this one, rather unbalanced. Actually, the hops simply don't taste good. The finish is short and mildly bitter with notes of herbs, floral hops and a faint hint of alcohol. All in all, the taste manages to be rather mild, yet unbalanced.

M: Moderate body. There's quite a lot of carbonation loss and after a while the beer gets really bland.

D: This is not a very good beer, it doesn't even reach mediocrity. I have serious trouble with plenty of beers from this brewery - it seems like they just don't manage to pull of what they're trying to achieve (what ever that is).

A: When I pour this one into the tulip glass there is a sizziling sound (from the head). The color is copper and the head is white but a bit unbalanced - both large and small bubbles. It dissipates rather quickly.

S: The smell is dominated by malt, light roasted malt. Floral hops are present as well as some citric (orange) notes in this refreshing beer that also got some herbs.

T: This tastes like bread; light roasted malt (caramell), there are citric notes and floral hops. Almost no bitterness. There is a roughness, something unbalanced in this beer...

M: Fullbodied, with nice carbonation (it tickles on my tounge). The aftertaste is nice and contains some dryness but also creamyness.

D: Since Oktoberfest in Münich is coming closer there are many different oktoberfestbier at the market. You should probably buy a Oktoberfestbier from Germany instead of this one.
