Testing this beer well-chilled, poured from a bottle into a tulip glass.

A: A clear red/rust-brown beer is poured from the bottle into the glass, creating about 1 inch thick foamy head that shrinks slowly. Twirling the glass shows lots of small bubbles beneath the foamy head, increasing it even more.

S: A fresh hoppy smell hits you right away, in the back there are plenty of malts going on as well creating a nice well balanced smell.

T: Just as the smell, a very fresh hoppy beer with plenty of malts going on here. The malt comes in handy giving you roasted tones that finishes off with a hoppy bitterness.

M: A great sizzling feel created by the nice carbonation in here. The roasted malts together with the hoppy bitterness creates a nice mouthfeel.

O: One of the best "easter ales" i've tried, making me unsure about the labeling of this beer. Most "easter ales" i've had before have been much more malty and sweet. I guess the hops helps a lot here creating a great balance with the malts. Also great carbonation that makes this "easter ale" enjoyable for a long while.

The colour is red brown, the liquid clear. The large compact head is pale brown. Good retention and fine lacing.

The smell is sweet, reminding of an English pub. Caramel, dried flowers, dried fruits.

The taste got a somewhat chemical bitterness in the background, as well as some butterscotch. Caramel, dried apricots. Medium body. The aftertaste is a bit drier with a growing bitterness, some nuts and a touch of boiled root crops. The finish got notes of lime and rye bread.

The carbonation is fresh, the bubbles medium sized. Smooth, quite light liquid.

Highly drinkable and pleasant.

A: Color is deep copper with a rather small tan compact creamy head. Slow dissipation leaves nice lacings.

S: Sweetness to the malts, caramell. Nettles and red apples. Flowery and roasted.

T: Sweet roasted caramell malts together with lots of fruits and flowers. Quite some bitter hops. Faint buttery notes.

M: Long bitter but also slightly sweet aftertaste. Body is medium and very smooth. Carbonation is medium to mild but smooth!

O: Nice and unoffensive. This is a beer to have quite a few of.
