Pretty dark for a pale ale. Almost brown, mahogany. A thick haze inside the liquid. The head has IPA written all over it. Thick, a dingy white, craterous, lots of lacing after the head falls.

Very malty, bready, slightly floral, just the faintest hit of citrus.

Taste is very much like the smell. Very malty, doughy crackerlike taste, a bit of pine, Earthy notes.

It's mostly bitter, and not necessarily in a good way. I thought the malt would offset and balance the bitter, but it really doesn't. It's got that resinous stickiness to it, but other than that, nothing to write home about.

Very average. Low alcohol, mostly bitter, drinkable, but only because it's beer. Not something I'd want again.

Standard and solid, Blind Tiger is a Pale Ale that balanced hop flavor/bitterness with malt sweetness for a good comparable to Sierra Nevada's.

The beer pours a copper/orange hue with mild, hoppy haze. Part froathy and part fizzy, the head character rises well but falls to traces just as quickly. A good looking beer, could be better with more froath and less fizz.

Aromas of citrus (grapefruit and orange zest) mix with malty flavors of graham crackers and caramel. Balanced well, the beer showcases mild spices, moderate bitterness, and no real flaws.

Light in body, the beer takes on good drinkability becuse of the tepid weight, but leads to thinness and acidic roughness and carbonic bite in the end.

The beer maybe falls somewhere between an American Pale Ale and an Extra Pale Ale. Low alcohol and body makes me yearn for more.

On tap at their Broad Ripple brewpub.

Pours dark, more orange than amber, nearly perfectly translucent and with a respectable head.

Smells like fruity malts and dry, east coast hops. Not very complicated but nicely balanced.

Tastes refreshing. The hops are heavier than I expected but low-alpha, and their mild citrusiness mingles well with the fruit loopiness of the malt.

A straight-up east coast APA, right here. Not intensely bitter, but tasty, well-balanced, and easy drinking.

Very easy drinking beer for a sunny day. Sweet in the front smooth on the finish. Appearance is a little weak, with a Slightly murky tarnished brass color. The aroma is nice, but a bit weak. I had to get a nose full of foam to smell it. Overall, a nice little beer.

12 oz bottle

Hazy amber/orange with a thin cream head that leaves a thick ring of bubbles and film with little lacing. Mild caramel and earthy aroma, some grain and citrus but little actual hop presence. Flavor is grain, citrus, and caramel malt with mild pine hop flavor in the finish.. Doesn't taste much like other APAs but not unpleasant. Thicker side of medium bodied with light carbonation with a slightly stale, slick finish. Not bad, but something is off in the finish which is a little too sweet for me.

Poured into a pint glass.

A: Came out a clear, golden-amber color with a lively off-white head. Retention was decent and lacing was good.

S: Nice floral and piney hop scents up front. A tad bit of pale malt sweetness and some earthy spice as well. Simple, but pleasant.

T: Interesting spicy hop flavors initially. Some malt sweetness as well on the finish. Yes, definitely sweeter than I expected. Pine and grass-type hops come out more as the brew warms.

M: Medium-light bodied and adequately carbonated, but not too much. Finishes mostly clean with a bittersweet aftertaste that doesn't last long.

D: Nothing about this beer should stand in the way of kicking back with a few over an evening.

An underwhelming, yet refreshingly unpretentious pale ale. Would make a decent pub ale or a change-of-pace beer. I may take a pack of this to my next party and see if I can lure some folks away from their usual brews.

Bottle acquired in trade with atpayne (thanks!).

***Slight gusher when I opened this one.***

Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a huge, huge off white head. Aromas of oranges, light pine, citrus, spices with some malts. Watery tastes of citrus, spices and caramel. Thin and watery body. Tastes a bit of a let down vs. the aromas.

Thanks to jcwattsrugger for bringing this back from Indiana for me!

Pours hazed amber with a thin head that becomes a wide patch, leaving some lacing.

The smell is of caramel with leafy and mildly citric spiciness.

The taste is of sweet caramel, some graininess. The a mild leafy bitterness and a touch of lemon sourness. Starts sweetish, thins in the middle and becomes a bit doughy and more bitter towards the end. It has a bitterish, dryish finish.

The body becomes a bit thin, almost watery, but hits medium-bodied overall.

Not bad, but things don't seem to blend as well as they could, making it a bit clumsy. Still, the components are there, and it has enough to it to make it worthwhile.

Poured from the bottle into a pint glass, beer is a slightly hazy, golden-orange color with a one-finger, soapy looking head. The smell is of citrus and pine resin hops, not overwhelming and a slight malty background. The taste starts and ends with the same hops from the nose with some malty notes tossed in along the way. There is a residual bitterness about the beer. The mouthfeel is light in body and adequately carbonated. Overall, not a bad offering, nothing too spectacular either though.

Burnt orange body supports a thick finger of white froth that nicely laces the Yankees pint glass. The smell emits nice citrusy hops, but it flies under the radar a bit. More hops would be nice for this APA. I'm not too keen on the taste. At first, it's decent, nicely hopped and with a touch of bitterness. But the hops soon dissipate under a blanket of sour--flat-out sour--taste. To make matters worse, the texture is thin, just disappointing for an APA. In all, this is not horrible. Yet it lacks defining character, which a good infusion of hops would surely lend it. I'd pass on this.

Got this as a bonus on my first trade ever about 2 months ago. Poured a nice hazy amber orange color with a white head that dissipated rather quickly. Lacing doesn't stick around too long but is pretty significant as the beer slides down the glass.

Smells upfront with a good hop strength and some caramel malt mixed in as well. Maybe some toffee too.

Very bitter at first, more bitter than I was expecting out of a light APA. It hits the palate very strong in the middle. I think the carbonation is what is causing this.

Mouthfeel is light to medium but the carbonation really takes over across the middle and leaves my palate a little numb. This fades as the beer warms though.

Drinkability is decent on this, definitely better as it warms and in hindsight

Poured into a pint glass, the head while about 2 fingers thick quickly went away leaving no lacing. A slightly pale orange color to it. A very pungent hoppy taste at the beginning followed by an orangey aftertaste. Very little carbonation to it, it could definitely use more. I've had on tap before, but out of the bottle was not even close to draft.
