Looks like a dark stout, opaque, and has a dark beige head. Pretty standard looking.

There isn't a lot of smell jumping out at me, but when I stick my nose up close to it I get some really earthy, roasted smells.

Taste is highly roasted, again some earthy and bordering on rotten smells. A roasted coffee flavor dominates.

Mouthfeel is really smooth and the beer is very drinkable. It is more of a medium-bodied beer and is pretty drinkable, especially with its low alcohol content.

Pours inky black with rich but minimal tan head, low carbonation. Smells of cinnamon, hint of molasses, roasted coffee, cereal grains. Viscous and chewy on the tongue, though low in carbonation. Rich roasted chocolate up front, very syrupy with hints of hop presence on the back end. Not too much different than most oatmeal stouts I’ve tried, only richer. Overall balance is exceptional. Some may find the rich sweetness to be overbearing over the course of one or two pints, but not this guy. Leaves a stickiness on the lips and palate, so it may be ruinous to the effect of follow up brews, but it’s reasonable enough to make a fine nursing beer over the course of an evening.

Purchased in a growler from the bar and sampled a pint while the growler was being filled.

Jet black appearance, but I was unable to hold it up to the light. A thick creamy head that measured the full width of my thumb.

Definite hints of roasted coffee and malt. Maybe even a little hint of chocolate in there.

A really pleasant creamy mouthfeel. Not a bit struck my tastebuds as off or out of context.

Had a pint at the restaurant and killed the growler the rest of the night. Could have kept on going if it hadn't been a Thursday. I will definitely enjoy this when available.
