A: The beer is hazy amber yellow in color. It poured with a finger high off white head that has good retention oroperties and consistently left a shirt head covering the surface.
S: Light aromas of caramel malts and citrusy hops are present in the nose.
T: The taste is similar to the smell, except that it tastes malty but the caramel flavors don't shine through. Notes of citrusy hops are present, and these contribute a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very balanced between the malts and hops.

look: 4 | smell: 3.75 | taste: 4 | feel: 3.75 | overall: 4

Appearance: Somewhat hazy (but not too cloudy) golden amber color--decent sized head slightly larger than 1 inch, lots of lacing after a few sips

Smell: malty (not hops scented), nutty, not floral or fragrant by any means

Taste: mainly malty flavors with a slight undertone of lemon/orange cites

Mouthfeel: a fair amount of carbonation, gives this beer some zing and adds a great complex quality to it--but not too heavy

Overall: Love this! What a refreshing drink, never had it in the bottle but on top this is a winner and my choice when I go out and it's available.

Golden color, with orange/amber hints to it. Medium thick head. Scents of citrus are very apparent, as well as the hops coming through. The taste is citrusy and there is a strong aftertaste. Tastes a bit like nature, if that makes sense. A lot of carbonation.

I'm a big fan of IPAs, but on days when I want something still hoppy yet citrusy as well, I'll reach for one of these.

A: nice golden color. Good clarity.
S: citrusy hop aroma
T: balanced malt to hop. Pushing the boundaries of a pale. West coast style.
M: nicely carbed. Light lingering bitterness.
O: overall a great session beer. However I've caught a few that taste off like they had oxygen introduced.

Picked this up on a trip to Ann Arbor. My first beer from Arbor. Tasted 11 November 2013.

Pours a clear medium orange amber. The clarity reveals a few bubbles rising up. 1.5 fingers of off-white head, dense and foamy. Great retention, loads of lacing.

Smell is rather dull. It's a mix of mildly sweet caramel malts with a very herbal, grassy hop aroma. The hops definitely dominate. It's fine, just not all that interesting.

Taste revelas what I dislike about many pale ales and IPAs. To me, it feels under-malted and over-bittered. It's got a potent hop acidity that brings little but bitter, and it's empty underneath that, providing no support or balance. It's everything I don't like about this kind of beer, and little that I do like about it.

Feel is pretty nice. Medium-bodied, fluffy carbonation My favorite part of the beer.

An odd mixed bag. The feel and appearance are really nice, but the smell and taste are not. On balance, beer needs to taste good, and this one doesn't.

Pours golden with fluffy head. Nice lacing going on. Smell is very pleasant with sweet citrus hops and very light. The taste was disappointing. All the flavors are there, but this was a bit watered down light citrus and not much else. Could use a little more hop bite and malt sweetness. Ok offering from ABC, and I think they could improve on this in the future with a bit more flavor. I really liked the flavor profile, it was just so faint. Excellent label--make the beer stand up to it.
