The vibe is nice and they have a few craft beer selections. Food is decent and it is a good place to watch a soccer game. I wish they had a few more and better beer options and that the food was overall a bit better. That said, it is still a good option.

Usually a good selection of beers. Food can be improved though.

Atmosphere - This place has an interesting atmosphere. Came here on a Saturday night, passing through on a cross-country drive, and found an equal mix of young kids, friendly bikers, and old people. The decor is dark but the place is well-lit. There's a real party atmosphere without being too wild.

Quality - This is a nice-looking pub. Real-world paneling, terrific layout, ample television coverage, and an awesome rectangular bar. The place looks almost brand new.

Service - They were plenty busy on this night but the service was beyond great. My waitress (Nicole) served me samples upon samples of beer, did some research on my few geeky questions, and I swear was serving over a dozen tables. I don't know how she did it, frankly, and never seemed rushed. This idiot birthday group of 12 came in, asked for six separate tabs, then proceeded to buy each other "couple" drinks and she kept up with all of that. She was like the Messiah of waitresses and earned one of the few fives I've ever given in this category.

Selection - They have about 25 beers on-tap, six locals, and another 50 bottles or so.

Food - This place s all about the pizza. They are known for there deep-dish - it has the highest ratings on Yelp and TripAdvisor of any area restaurant - but I prefer thin-crust so ordered a New York-style hamburger and green pepper. It wasn't wafer-thin as I like it and had a bit more cheese than I prefer but damn this was a terrific pie.

Value - This was reasonably-priced. They had some two dollar mixed drink specials going on that didn't interest me but were selling strong.

Stopped in here over the weekend, Final Four hysteria in full effect. A 15 year old kid greeted us at the front, and seated us by the bar on request.

Brass rails and wood paneling all day, framed photos, shelves of knick knacks far above, tables full of douche below. No matter how loudly you try to hit on the waitress, it's not going to work guy. Good service, quick and friendly, pizza was the star of the show here.

Taps were import macro dominated save for Oberon and Sun King Wee Mac, and one other craft. 75-ish bottles represented the typical "beers of the world" gimmick. Asking the server about the Double Diamond cask handle at the bar, the answer was "just for show". Ding would be displeased.

The redeeming light in the darkness was the pizza, available in several styles. Go early for a pizza and pitcher of beer, but not a place to linger and appreciate the finer elements of fermented beverages.

Atmosphere has a darkened pub feel with a couple TVs showing soccer (excuse me europe), located in the heart of Indy's northside nightlife hotspot, Broadripple. Relatively sufficient seating in the restaurant/bar is usually busy with patrons. Excellent food menu with some of the best pizza in Indy all at seemingly reasonable prices. Beer selection is extensive, but with only a little depth. Easy to find something to satisfy almost any palate, but some costs are pretty high. Friendly attentive wait staff make for an overall nice experience. The only real negative is the sometimes awkward seating, with an occasional chair in the walkway or tables so close you might be sharing a date with the people next to you.

The Union Jack Pub is a cornerstone of the infamous Broad Ripple scene, enjoyed by young and old alike. Great food menu matched with a good beer selection, about a dozen taps and closer to forty or fifty bottles ranging from popular European beers to American micros. The atmosphere is an old-world nostalgic British pub scene with stained glass and hardwood tables, the bar's ceiling is covered with beer mugs and steins. Cozy little nooks and booths make up the rest of the Union Jack, old beer advertisements and the like litter the entire establishment, very much in the same fashion as an Applebee's, only with much more class and better taste. Menu is comprised of your typical pub fare, excellent pizza (especially the deep dish Chicago Style), and probably the best club sandwich I've ever tried. Very attentive and knowledgeable service, no problems whatsoever in that department. Price is a bit salty, but still in line for the area and the quality you recieve in return is more than compensation for your money. If you've never been, I strongly recommend dropping in for a pint.
