Dead Frog Brewing 'Super Fearless' Imp IPA @ 9.0% , batch #3 , served from a 650 ml bottle purchased for $7.50

A-pour is a dark gold from the bottle to amber in the glass with a big frothey off-white head leaving a streaky lace along the pint

S-hoppy ,

T-not big boozey , big dry hop bitterness

MF-ok/good carbonation , booze is kinda well hidden , so ok/big full body , definate dryness lingers on the palate

Ov-ok/good beer , one of Dead Frog's better beers , give it a try

On draft at Craft, Vancouver.
Glowing ruby-amber with sepia crust.
Red berry, nectar, jam and a bit of toffee on the nose.
Danish pastry, herbs, citronella, red Twizzlers, then blood orange, pine sap, and red grapefruit hops.
Strawberry finish and Berocca linger.
Medium, sticky, well chewy, some oil.

Galaxy, Columbus, Cascade + Zythos.

Big and fruity. IBUs over aroma, amber more than DIPA. Nice and juicy; hops and malts both there.

Just so red!

A: Nice colour with good carbonation and some lacing.

S: Nice sweetness with tropical aromas balancing the hops very well.

T: Some pine, citrus and lightly burned caramel. Really good actually. Well balanced.

M: Good body, just thick enough.

O: A strong contender for the best Double/Imperial IPA BC has to offer. Really not fond of the label design though, but what lies in the bottle comes as a great surprise!

Back again and way better than last time. Huge Dank nose with hops to burn in the taste. One of the biggest DIPAs in BC that really showcases the hop mix. Dead Frog impresses in 2014 and this beer is one their best . Among the very best of Canada's DIPAs.

A: Nice dark amber, fair amount of carbonation (about an inch of light, white head) - poured into an IPA glass
S: Strong hop aroma, slight citrusy and a bit piny, pretty much what you would expect from an IIPA - get some of the alcohol as well
T: Very hoppy, but not overwhelmingly bitter (very drinkable for 93 IBU), some piny and citrusy notes, with a nice hop sweetness
M: Medium to heavy body, slight carbonation, quite smooth
O: Very nice IIPA, would of liked to see a bit more complexity but overall a really good beer, quite drinkable for an IIPA, would LOVE to try this on tap
