500ml can with interesting design, 2011.

Dark gold/brown color. Smells of syrup and booze with something a bit funky going on in the background. Taste isn't too far off the smell, very sweet and very boozy, too boozy. Somewhere in the taste there is some lager going on. Mouthfeel is med-high carb and thick and syrupy.

My favorite of the Danish "yearly brews," and indeed of the 10%abv crowd (given the competition isn't much). By my favorite I mean that this is the only one I can finish. A beer to get drunk with for the non discerning imbiber.

The artwork of the 2006 label is called "Lucerne Vogtersken".

The colour is deep yellow; the very low white head is airy. There is some lacing.

An alcoholic flavour dominates the smell. There is a lightly sour and roasted flavour and a note of bitter almonds.

The taste is very sweet, it is almost like drinking syrup… There are notes of sweet and bitter almonds. The aftertaste is also sweet with a long lasting alcoholic flavour.

The carbonation is average.

As usual, a pale lager at 10% is too strong for being enjoyable.
