A thin white head is all that emerges from a pretty strong pour. Quickly receding, a skim of foam remains and is replenished by random bubbles rising through the clear yellow beer.
It has the typical metallic, somewhat stale, dirty laundry aroma common in many Euro beers, either from the minerals in the water or a long, unrefrigerated ocean voyage. Whatever the reason, it usually precedes a mediocre offering. This beer is no exception.
While it does offer a decent hop profile, the malt is a little weak, with white bread and biscuit flavors. Probably a good session beer when in Denmark, but this bottle does not seem to have made the journey well.

Green 12 oz bottles. A little skunky and very pale, this brew is overcarbonated. Head disappears. Malt flavors are limited to non-descript sweet. The hops are a little flowery, a one distinction for a very ordinary lager. The bubbles make it a real belly-filler so its drinkability with food is pretty compromised. Overall, I get a negative impression...

Poured from an 11.2 ounce bottle into a pint glass. ABV of 5.0%.
Appearance: Nice sized off-white head. Clear yellow body. Looks to be par for the course.
Smell: More of a hop presence than I was expecting. Grassy and clean.
Taste: Really good taste for a simple Euro lager. Everything is present and in balance. Very simple, yet well constructed.

Appearance: yellow. Sturdy, good looking head that stayed well.
Smell: faint malt/hops. Pleasant.
Taste: Average pilsner taste in every way exept one. It had a nice nutty/malty aftertaste that I really enjoyed.
Mouthfeel: smooth, appropriate carbonation.
Drinkability: nice warm weather guzzler, won't seek it out, but good price and pleasant taste make for a good pool/party beer.

A- Light gold color, around 1 finger head diminishes to very faint lacing, eventually disappears
S- Somewhat floral hops, sweet
T- Light pilsner taste, slight malt/metallic aftertaste that lingers
M- slight carbonation bite that lasts throughout but still remains relatively smooth
D - average drinkability, the combination of the carbonation and malt aftertaste hinder it slightly but still comes off as a pleasant beer on a warm day

11.9 oz bottle poured into pint glass
A: Light golden in color, pretty translucent, less than a fingers worth of head that disappears very quickly. No lacing.
S: I'm not getting a lot.... Just a touch of hops and sweet corn.
T: A little on the boring side.... touch of hops but mainly sweet corniness.
M: Light to mid bodied with slight carbonation, pretty smooth with little aftertaste.
D: Pretty average beer, nothing really stands out and could easily be a Bud. Nothing different here, nothing to run out and get.

Brown 11.2 FL OzBottle, Label reads Bear Beer 5% ABV.
A clear golden color with two fingers of white frothy head that goes away fast, lots of carbonation. Aroma of slightly skunky citrus hops and a lightly roasted malt . Flavor is lightly bitter,a bit of skunk,a splash of lemon ,some hay, a bit of malt for balance,by far not the best Lager I've ever had,but it's crisp, clean and refreshing, a fun try .

11.2oz brown bottle
HAR8262 printed on the back label
Pours a a pale yellow color with some clarity issues and a small white head, a couple of tiny bubbles lazily make their way to the top in support of the head. Smells of grainy adjunct sweetness and musty malt. Average in flavor, it tastes like a pale European lager nothing out of the ordinary or unexpected here. Light in body, very drinkable. Would order over a Stella if given the option im sure.

appearance - bright straw
smell -- it's got that classic export lager sweet-metal smell, what the heck is that anyway? also it was a bit skunked, a little hay and fresh straw in the nose too.
taste -- coffee like bitters, cover the whole tongue, with a slightly husky/honeyed malt finish -- bitters stay at sides of the tongue.
overall -- not so hot, i'd rather have a Carlsberg.

I found this bottle on the shelf at Merchants in Dearborn, Michigan, three weeks ago so thought I'd give it a try given my fascination with bears in general (there's a polar bear on the label). Light yellow gold with white wispy head, slight ring, low carbonation. Smell is of corn adjuncts - that's the best I could come up with. Taste is of a mildy hopped Euro-lager with slight malt taste and mouthfeel. Aftertaste earthy, kind of skunks out a bit. Acceptable but not worth seeking out; nothing lost if you intend to hibernate.

Note: this beer actually lists the alcohol content at 5%
A - Pale golden colour with some carbonation bubbles. Very little head on top.
S - Crisp malts and cereal. There's also something in the realm of wood-chips and a bit of cheese.
T - Very mild with a sweet almost honey-like flavour. As with the aroma there's plenty of crisp cereal flavours here with some sweetish malt to back it up. The cheesy flavours come through in the after-taste.
M - Low carbonation, very little activity at all - quite mellow.
O - Not the most complex beer I've ever consumed.. A simple working-man's beer - reminds me somewhat of Warsteiner due to the mild honey flavouring; although it's much more prominent in that beer. If you're stuck in Denmark head for the Elephant.

Bright golden color with a thin head.
Aroma of malt, vanilla, faint smell of hops. Closer to an adjunct lager, though they use just malted barley.
Refreshing taste, malt sweetness and light bitterness from grassy hops, a bit flowery. Mildly dry aftertaste.
Light body with good carbonation.
Good as a session beer, harder to get any smoother and without all the adjunct lagers flaws. Excellent thirst quencher.

Got this bottle last week at Surdyk's (?) in Minneapolis. I poured it agressively and got a decent white head and no lace. Color is a clear yellow gold. Aroma was very beery with some malt and hop. Flavor was immediately bittersweet followed by a cornsweetener like flavor. Fairly clean. Sharp carbonation and not much body. Short, forgettable finish. Had many lots worse and better.
