Appears copper hued with a slight haze, forms white cloudy textured head. Leaves behind speckled lacing. Aroma citric dank earthy hops plus caramelized malts, those malts carry over into the flavor. Very malt heavy IPA, citric earthy dank hops are a bit muddled in the experience! Pelletized hops make this a bit cloying with the hops and malts battling a really poorly executed IPA I will not have another. Overall not impressed with any Elevator offerings!

this beer pours a foggy apricot with a very thick head that laces very well throughout. it has slightly citrus smell with a noticable malt hint. the taste follows a similar path. the citrus notes are more prominent in the taste but are still followed by some maltiness. the hop finish has a solid bite to it. i wouldn't guess this one is 7.6 abv. the mouthfeel is carbonated and leaves it slightly sticky. overall this is a sweeter than most IPAs but it is just what i like. i dont think there are too many better values than this one. this is one of my go to brews. and this is an IPA...

Notes from last weekend; my second taste of Elevator.

It looks good, a cloudy (unfiltered?) yellow-orange that's just a couple shades lighter than amber with a nicely sized and shaped head sticking around on top for a good while before a thick and compact foam drops good legging and some patching well down the glass.
There's both citrus and pine in the aroma with some pith to it. There's also a lightly herbal quality. Malts add a little sweetness to it but mostly breads. It's pretty well-attenuated but not fully nuanced or balanced.
The same goes for the flavor; something about the pith, the leafiness going a little too herbal, and the malt being a little too involved make it pretty good but a little short of great.
The body is medium, and the beer feels good with a consistent crispness, a smooth flow and a moderate carbonation.

The Three Frogs from Elevator is more English than American style. It poured a clear golden with this white head that did not lace. The scent and taste was very bitter. There is an attempt to mask the bitterness with sweet malt....which left the taste somewhat lacking. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall....I thought it was just ok.

Received from cosmonick as an extra. (Cheers!)
Poured from 12oz bottle into imperial pint.

Aroma: Fairly simple, but enticing aroma. Hops go from piney to pineapple. Malt is sweet like honey.

Appearance: Hazy golden-orange body. Nice three-fingered bright white, billowy head settles to a thick, rocky collar of foam. Clumpy lacing clings to the side of the glass.

Flavor: Sweet mandarin orange initially, then pineapple, then honey. Also noticing some apple and even cherry. A very fruity profile for an IPA. An enjoyable, substantial bitterness is there at the end.

Mouthfeel: Medium-high carbonation and medium body. Hops are only slightly drying.

Overall: Some might not appreciate fruity sweetness in an IPA, and, generally, I'm the same if it's syrupy/cloying. In this case, though, Elevator does a good job working all of the hop and malt flavors together. I thoroughly enjoyed this one!

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a standard pint glass. Appears a nice hazy, golden orange color with a very thick white head that has some great staying power and leaves some attractive lacing.

Smell isn't quite as strong as I hoped. There are some piney notes and a slight amount of citrus. I also get some caramel malts; very well balanced here. The taste is balanced as well, with the addition of some earthiness. Not overly hopped, but again notes of pine and citrus. The caramel comes through and as it warms there is a slight alcohol flavor, but you have to search for it.

The mouthfeel is very smooth, almost creamy. The carbonation isn't over done. Medium-bodied and it just goes down nicely. Overall, a decent IPA. I've definitely had better, but it's a good local option that I was happy to see in bottles.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass.

Pours a clear copper, with a finger of slightly off-white colored head. This retains with some rich ringing, leaving back a creamy cascade of lace that hangs in foamy swathes down the sides of the glass. The aroma has a LOT of soft fruit flavor to it, which mixes with notes of caramel and bread from the malts to give this strong ripe stickiness in the nose that is undercut by herbal textures and some more assertive flavors of grapefruit and pine. The fruit and malt mostly control this though.

The taste is the same, with a little grapefruit flavor and pine up front that is then met by a wave of tropical fruit, sweet malt, and underlying herbal flavors before finishing a bit more assertively with notes of pith, spice, and resins on the tongue. The mouthfeel is medium bodied, with a firm creamy sharpness that then spreads out in the mouth into more of creamy slickness. Alcohol is pretty well hid for 8%.

Eh. This just put too much emphasis on fruit and malt here and not nearly enough on any kind of crisp hop flavors that would have taken this up to the next level. I don’t believe I even got a 1/3 of the way through the glass before I became bored with it. Not a very good example of the style at all.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy amber color with about a half inch off-white head. Head retention is decent, and there's a lot of lacing left behind on the glass. Aroma is nice, it smells like citrusy hops, caramel malt and a bit of floral hops. It tastes like pine and citrusy hops (tropical fruit, grapefruit) and caramel malt. There's also a lingering bitter hoppy finish. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit creamy and has moderate carbonation. I think it's a decent enough brew. It's not the first time I've had this, and it probably won't be the last. Worth a try.
