I taste nothing but yeast. I taste no dry hopping or wheat flavor. Could be greatly past its date, but none evident on the bottle.

Bottle picked up recently in Columbus, OH

The beer pours a hazy looking golden amber with a fluffy white head that laces. The nose is citrusy, wheaty, with a hint of lemongrass. The taste is similar to that of Captain Lawrence's Sun Block with hints of citrusy hops upfront followed by a lingering wheaty bitterness. It's well carbonated, light-bodied, with a touch of cardboardy wheat, some lingering citrusy hops, a semi-dry finish, and a hint of yeast fruit. This is definitely a good beer, but I'm not sure why it's listed as being retired.

Notes from last weekend; my third from Elevator.

This is the first I've had that didn't look good. It's not bad, but the hazy medium-yellow brew's head doesn't rise particularly high or last particularly long, but fades to a foam somewhat quickly and leaves just enough spotty lacing to make for an average look.
A little grainy with some lemon and an off sort of cereal note; it's almost like toasted oat, only obviously no oat but that note of it found in some boxes of cereal.
Grainy in the flavor as well, the bright, tangy and lightly sour lemon note does some good to a beer that otherwise threatens to slide into the blandness typical of the style. Fortunately, it stops short, but it's no Gumballhead.
It's light, yes, but crisp and refreshing at the same time and the carbonation is consistent. There's enough smoothness to keep it rolling on the tongue and keep from being boring.
