As the name implies, this place has a bit of a psychedelic feel to it. There is a patio and a bar with a television as well. This is primarily a pizza place and the pizza is outstanding. Lots of different options as well so there is something for everyone. If you get an appetizer I highly recommend the cheesy bread as it is great. The waiters and waitresses are mostly college and high school students so the service isn't great, but about what to be expected. Fairly good beer selection and you can buy their on tap beers by the pitcher. Great pizza place in Fort Worth. Different from typical pizza places like Pizza Hut and Papa Johns.

Vibe - Extremely eclectic. Very bright and colorful everywhere. Usually decently busy but not overly so when I have gone.
Quality - Place is kept clean and I like it even though it is a bit overwhelming at times.
Service - One time we ordered our pizza and they didn't tell us for 30 minutes that only one oven was working and there is a backlog so it'll be another 45 minutes. So basically we waited and had a beer before leaving. That was not cool.
Selection - Beer selection is generally the same. I think I've seen one or two beers change up over the years. No real hidden gems on the beer menu, but it's a pizza joint with several craft options.
Food - Pizza here is great albeit a tad on the pricey side. Meat Lovers is life.

I have been here several different times and I always seem to find it to get better and better. The palce is very crowded and loud, but other than that its awesome. They have a great selection of import and craft beer, both in bottle and on draft. The service is good and they get the food pretty fast for being so busy. The pizza is so tasty and is perfect with a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The only downfall of this place is that it is very pricey. I can drop a good 50 dollars without a problem. The quality is for sure there and I cant complain.

The Mellow Mushroom in Fort Worth On Bluebonnet Circle is covered in "psychadelic" memorabelia. Very nice atmosphere (if you dig that sort of thing), with classic rock and TVs playing in the background. They serve THE best pizza I've ever had..."Kosmik Karma".

Their selection of beer is above average for a standard resteraunt in Fort Worth, although their prices on bottles are high. I ordered a 90min IPA and chose to keep the DFH "shaped" pint glass it was served in for $7. Their pizza ain't exactly cheap either. They also have 20 different beers on tap.

If you're hungry for a kick ass pizza and a good beer, you should make a point to go to Mellow Mushroom. You won't be dissapointed.

We enjoy college town places, so we fit right in here. The music was not too loud to drown out the conversation and the bartenders were friendly and accommodating. Food was good. Loved the ceasar salad and the pizza was better than average. I particularly liked the sauce on the pizza.

They had a nice selection of craft beers. I had the Abita Purple Haze and Real Ale Fireman's 4. My wife had the Kona Fire Rock Pale Ale. They also had a couple Rahr beers on tap and the Saint Arnold seasonal in bottle. They had about 25 different craft beers and another 20 or so imports. Very good for a Texas pizza joint.

A Georgia-based pizza franchise that has finally hit Texas, with the first places opening in Austin and Fort Worth. This is located on the north side of Bluebonnet Circle just south of TCU, so it can turn into a college hang-out on some nights.

Inside looks and feels just like a Chili's: standard casual restaurant decor, designer-looks-like-garage-sale-but-brand-new furniture, themed with the whole "Mellow Mushroom" cartoon characters. Large patio overlooks the Circle (a public park), so it's a scenic view with plenty of room for crowds. Spacious bar area with plasma TVs to watch the game. Staff are mostly college or college-aged kids, as enthusiastic as a Chuckie Cheese for adults.

OK, now for the good stuff: 20 taps, probably 20-30 more in bottles, with an emphasis on crafts, specifically local crafts. Of the 20 taps, only three would be considered macros; the rest are local Texas beers -- some being the only representation of that beer in Tarrant County -- mixed with a couple of New Belgiums and Rogues. I rated the value as "reasonable" because while the prices are just a little higher than other places, all the pints are Imperial 20-oz glasses.

Food is above average to good, maybe even very good. Pizza, calzones, sandwiches, with a whole-foods or semi-organic bent (no additives, spring water, fresh veggies, blah blah). I'll have to add this place to my rotation.
