A - Translucent light red.

S - Malty with a bit of caramel.

T - Sweet malt with some hop. Not enough going on for me in complexity and the flavours it's presenting.

M - Best part of beer. Crisp and smooth and refreshing.

O - Not great, not bad. I'll definitely look elsewhere for red ales.

Poured a decent clear copper color with a fair head. Slight earthy scent. Tasted crisp and clear with a good flavor of malt, just enough hint of hops to make it refreshing. Finished very nicely, and I finished several very nicely, too! A wee bit more pricey than american reds, but a wee bit better, too. Well worth a try.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint.

Not as red as I would expect a red ale to be, but not bad, more of a copper or bronze or pecan red. Slight head that dissipates. The taste is everything I would expect from a red ale. The mouth feel is perfect, not to heavy but not too light. The hops are present but not discernible. Nice malt to hop ratio seems to fit the red style nicely. It tastes and feels like a red more so than it looks like a red. I guess taste is all that really matters in the end.

I would definitely buy this again.

Apperance: nice copper color. Decent head and retention.
Smell: Malts come through somewhats. caramel malts on the nose. Slight hoppiness, not very distninguished, but pleasant never the less.
Taste:smooth. Malts are a little thing, but the hops have a nice kick. The brewmaster must be a hop head, because he puts a good amount in most of his beers. Because of this, it surprises me that there is no IPA on the menu, hopefully in the future.
Mouthfeel and drinkability: nice and even. Easy to drink. A sessionable ale.

Seems fitting for the St. Patty's Day celebrations. Enjoyable and certainly prefered to the green Natty Light that the bar was pushing. This beer proved to be a bit maltier and less hoppy than I remember, while contributing a peaty, earthy flavor and feel. Very mellow, smooth, and rich. Not bitey or grainy like a lot of the American Reds. Very European and pure brew.
