A: bright orange color, with a tinge of darkness, it stars pale, but goes quickly orange in color.

S: A very smoke like smell, as suggested. A bit of fruit, can't really pin point the cherry. It does come through as the beer warms to room temp.

T: The first bit of taste was a smoked hot dog. The spices come in, along with a nice bitterness. The hide the boozy aspect well. There is a nice salty/sweet aspect of this beer as well. Very earthy.

M: This is dry, and it leaves me with like I'm eating a hotdog.

Overall I liked this very much. It's complex, and it feels like I get something new with every sip.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/20/2013. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1-2 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, banana, pepper, clove, honey, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, light wood smoke, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester, malt, and light-moderate smoke notes; with good strength. Taste of lemon zest, orange peel, pear, apple, banana, pepper, clove, honey, wheat, bread, wood smoke, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy peppery yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon zest, pear, apple, banana, pepper, clove, honey, wheat, bread, herbal, grass, wood smoke, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast ester and pale/smoked malt sweetness; with a great malt/yeast flavor balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth and lightly slick/crisp/bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice smoked saision style. All around good robustness, complexity, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast ester and bready/smoked malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

A: yellow-yellow/orange. Thin head. Lacing of tiny bubbles. Clear.
S: esters from yeast
T: Strong alcohol, classic saison, but big. itter at end. Big yeast presence. Spicy. I could not taste the cherry wood smoke.
M: highly carbonated.
O: Good Saison. Not great. Too hoppy for this style.

mostly picked up for the price (only $6.99) but also for that damn heart crushing story.

A - Pours a bright yellow orange very hazy with a mild 1/4 inch of head that fades to nothing.
S - No real smokey smells in the beer smells like any other triple or saison I have had before. For what it's worth it's not very heavy either.
T - Well the flavors are kind of meshed strong yeasts mildly fruity and dry mesh with oaky (cherry?) wood taste, not overpowering and finishes off with some orange fruity goodness. Its decent enough.
M - Not as heavy as I expected and the ABV is well hidden. Medium bodied and kind of chewy.

Overall it's a decent one off with a high octane ABV but I don't think I would drink it again. Still it was a great and balanced experience.
