Transparent orange color. Rich, creamy head on the pour. Good retention with lots of little lace critters.
Wheat and yeast aroma. Spicy cloves. Pleasant smoky character.
Smoke flavor hits the tongue right away with a mild sausage-like quality. Study, muffin like malt backbone. Assertive herbal hop with hints of cloves. Mellow yeast in the end.
Medium to full bodied. Well carbonated. Somewhat grainy texture, most likely from the wood.
A unique beer. Innovative for sure. Just a little different from my classic view of a saison.
