Poured in a 9 ounce tasting tumbler, number 2 in a series of tastings for the 2010 Holiday.
A- Black, pitch black. Foamy tan head (1 finger) that turns into a nice lace.
S- Coffee! Chocolate, cheerios, anise.
T- Smooth, malty stout. All of the tastes that were aluded to in the smell are very subtle- it doesn't overpower with coffee or chocolate, but rather hints to everything that is presented on the nose. A very well balanced R.I.S.
M- Very bold, very fizzy, good overall feel. Lively.
D- a stout lover's brew, very drinkable (albiet on the strong side)- sip and enjoy!
