Bottled 5/10/14. Poured from a bomber into a shaker pint, the beer is a hazy, deep, caramel-copper coloring with a thin, foamy, off-white head and a ton of carbonation bubbling throughout the body. Aromas of supersweet tropical fruit forward, with berry sweet, orange peel, subtle hops resin, and a toasty backbone. Flavors are roasted forward, with berry and tropical fruit forward, and smooth blending, with a tangy sweet and resinous undertone. Very fruity, yet with a very bitter undertone. The body is light, effervesced, with a resinous and tangy fruit sweet aftertaste. This is a very unique spin on the IPA style. The finish is light, frothy, and yet smooth. Extremely tasty beer.

Appearance: Honey in a glass.

Aroma: It's a Stone IPA for sure. Candied fruit, accompanied by tropical fruit. A slight aroma of alcohol but well hidden.

Taste: Tropical fruits, mango, maybe a hint of pineapple. Some additional bitterness at the back end. I'm not sure if it's from the elderberries, or the coriander. Alcohol we'll hidden, but this is right from the fridge.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied with a rich creaminess.

Overall: I give this beer an A-. If you like double IPA's from Stone, give it a go if it's still floating around. Not a bad beer at all.

Thanks to my wife for bringing this one home. ;)
Pours a clear medium amber with minimal head into a tulip glass.
Smells hoppy, dank, with some breadiness and spice from the coriander.
Tastes really interesting. Hoppy up front on my tongue, elderberry flavor midway and hop bitterness on back of tongue. Very interesting!
Mouthfeel was easy drinking for a 9.3% ABV.
Overall, this was a well done Stone beer. Flavorful and interesting.

A: A darker orange/yellow in color, almost caramel color with a nice transparency, a nice off white two finger head at the top that went away rather quickly, and left some nice lacing around the glass.

S: Nice lemon and citrus hops right off the bat, a nice caramel hint and some brown sugar as well, the hops gave off the perfect piney scent, the back end was a little alcohol.

T: The taste was almost exactly like the nose on this beer, lots citrus and lemon flavor throughout with a nice caramel back bone and nice dry finish as well, very tasty, some booze on the tail end just like the nose.

M: Medium bodied, with a good amount of carbonation, sticky on the end and some warmth from the booze.

D: Definitely a good beer from Stone, was very happy that I bought this beer, tasty and easy drinker.
