Poured into goblet...

On tap at the Flying Saucer, Germantown, TN

A: pours golden with a thick eggshell white head covering the glass with sticky white lacing

S: boatloads of tropical fruits and piney, earthy, and resiny hops dominating the cracker-like malt base.

T: hoppy all the way through. Tropical fruits up front give way to orange peel and pine sap, then a long resiny, bitter, and spicy hop finish.

M: lighter than one would expect. has a crisp bite that goes well with the dusty, dry finish.

Overall, this beer is a hop bomb that is perfect for anyone who loves the little green things. This beer has set the tone for the evening.

S: sweet, lemon grapefruit smell; slight sprite smell?
T: sweet, lemongrass, grapefruit taste with some floral notes and earthy aftertaste
M: light bodied and fairly crisp; not too bad; a little thin
D: nice mouthfeel and taste combo; not too bad

Had this on cask, not bad actually.

The appearance was hazy, understandable given the double dry hopping and the cask treatment. This was about the best smelling cask ale ever. Not dominated by wood or anything, the dry hopping stood out. Superior to the regular version in every way except for carbonation I guess. Exactly as you would expect, delicious hoppy notes of pine, light malt bill, alcohol there but not overwhelming. Dry toasty pale malts.
