This one was double dry hopped with Motueka hops and part of a tap takeover at Tap + Bottle in Tucson, Ariz.
A beautiful haziness and fine, unique taste. Very well balanced and full of flavor, but over the top in hops.
Give it a go. Well worth trying.

On tap today in NYC as part of the Blind Tiger's 12/12/12 Stone brewery event. Mike/Grover, Slander and I all agreed this was the one to start with. It arrived in a Belgian style tulip, near clear, slightly orangy. The head is medium in height, tiny bubble, off white and then leaves plenty of fine, well webbed lacing. The nose is intensly hoppy, gobs of amarillo/pineapple fruityness and resiny goodness. Fairly light in body, the expected load of fruity/spicy amarillo laden hop goodness. Easy drinking, pleasant and snappy on the tongue and easy on the entire package of beer apreciation sensors. Loved it, could drink this one all night.

A hazy, golden orange with amber edges and a moderate white head that sticks around. Leaves rings of lace down the glass with every big sip. This beer could be on a magazine cover!
Grapefruit and lemon and orange rind in the nose. Strong and pungent citrus aroma. Extraordinary.
An exceptional spectrum of flavors including: initial bitterness, hoppy citrus, and then a bready and biscuity flavor near the end.
Smooth yet full and rich mouthfeel. This beer invites you to drink more of it.
Very close to a perfect IPA. I feel lucky to live a "Stone"'s throw away from the brewery.

Copper colored with a thick and firm white head that lingers long, even after many sips. Aroma of bright floral and citrus hops. Luscious flavors of floral and citrus hops, moving to a piney finish. Subtle malt flavor provides a good balance. Hops dominate without lending too much bitterness. A very flavorful beer. Even mouthfeel with moderate carbonation and a tingly finish.

Probably one of my favorite, if not the favorite casked ales. I think I had this at both Hopfest and the Bistro IPA fest.
Dry hopping sets the casks apart in my mind. too often they are dominated by the kind of wood used in the cask. This one was just right. Looked nice and hazy golden, taste was just fantastic. Crisp dry hopping mixes with the wood very nice on this one. Kind of hurts, makes the regular ipa seem pedestrian, this one comes off more complex.
Stone seems to be my favorite brewery casks, but boy are they rare to find.

On tap at the 2014 Most Arrogant Bar Bash (Barleys in Greenvillle, SC)
Pours clear and unremarkable.
Aroma: plenty of bready and caramel malts with hops; sweet.
Flavor: nice hoppy impression but mild and sessionable. Medium/mild bitterniess.
O: a very fine IPA; May not have enough hop wallop to satisfy some hop heads.

This beer pours a very attractive golden color with a thick, fluffy white head. The head fades slowly, leaving a thick sheet of lace.
This beer has a very floral aroma. I like all the double dry hopped beers from Stone. It smells citrusy. I detect some lemon, and some grapefruit. It also has a slightly piney aroma. A very subtle grassy aroma is present as well.
This beer tastes much like it smells. It tastes quite floral. Almost like drinking a flower. It has a citrus taste also. Mostly grapefruit. A slight piney flavor is present. It has a subtle malty backbone however. This beer is very well rounded.
This beer is quite crisp and refreshing. It goes down very smooth, leaving a floral aftertaste. This beer is perfectly carbonated.
I think this beer would make a great session beer. I love Stone IPA, and this beer just takes that one up a notch.
Overall: Great beer by a great brewery. A must have for any Stone lover or any IPA lover.

Appearance: Very light orange, looks nice and malty
Head: Small white head
Smell: Light citric with a sweet malty backbone
Taste: Big hop, almost of a tropical fruit with a heavy malt notes
Weight: Light to medium body with low carbonation
Finish: Big citric sticks around forever and stickiness on the lips
This might be the best beer that has ever hit my palate!

Thanks to my main suitcase carrying man!
A: Cloudy and light amber in color. Nice head with ok lacing. Head retention is not great.
S: Huge herbal grassy notes. very clean and fresh smelling. a touch of green tea and honey notes as well.
T: Again very herbal grassiness. Some sweet honey notes that remind me of green tea. Mild citrus notes
M: Extremely smooth and easy to put down.
D: Overall, this is a great offering and has a unique herbal quality unlike most other ipas. i really enjoyed the sweet honeylike taste and green tea herbalness. A little more citrus would have been nice but this was one beer i am very happy to have been able to try

Wow. This might be one of the best IPA's I've ever had. Got a growler of this last week. Cracked it open today.
Pours a perfect clear golden color with a very nice sticky white head with nice lacing down the glass.
Aroma is tons of hops. Citrus, pine grapefruit hops. Smells awesome.
Taste is awesome. Very hoppy but alot of hop flavor too. Not just bitter. It got slightly oxidized in the growler after a week but I won't dock it for that. Not the best IPA I've ever had (Younger gets that award) but maybe 2nd best. I wish I could get this often.
Mouthfeel is nice and carbed. Little lighter than the tap version I would imagin but not bad for the growler.
Overall an amazing IPA. Good thing km only sharing this growler with 1 other person.

pour was a light hazy golden yellow with a light foamy head.
very hop forward with a massive onslaught of citrus and bitterness. tons of orange and grapefruit with a hint of pine. light sweetness.
super juicy and hoppy. almost like drinking fruit juice. tons of sweet grapefruit, tangerine, orange, and a light pine bitterness. tons of resin and earth. light malt body was overpowered.
a bit light malty body with a nice slight easy to drink feel. nice moderate to light carbonation.
this was the highlight of the night for me, so delicious in every way.

Growler shared by bring. Wow, this is great stuff. The "other site," as of now, lists this as an alias for Stone IPA. This is not correct. Stone IPA this is not - it's a different, awesome animal.
A - Nice bright clear golden color with a medium white head.
S - Hop explosion. Really fresh and floral, with some citrus and pine notes as well.
T - Citrus and pine hops - simcoe I'm told, which is one of my favorites. Very grapefruity. Some pale and caramel malt as well.
M - Dry and crisp on the palate, and somewhat light-bodied, which is good for those who don't like their IPAs too syrupy (I'm on the fence here).
D - Really, really drinkable. It's just so damn tasty that you keep lifting it to your mouth...and like that, it's gone...sort of like Keyser Soze.
