A: Dark, dark brown. Almost black, but not quite there. Forms a moderate sized dark tan colored head. Leaves a good bit of lacing on the way down.
S: Deeply roasted malts, smoke, raisiny sweetness, and a mild vegetal quality.
T: Starts off with heavily roasted malts, char, and a smoky bitterness before turning slightly sweet. Then the pepper comes through - wouldn't necessarily pick this out as chipotle if it didn't say so on the bottle, but there is definitely some earthy pepper to it. Finish brings the heat.
M: On the heavier side of medium. Mildly chalky. Lower carbonation. Some appreciable capsicum heat.
O: A decent beer. All the flavors seem to work, but in the end, its just not that exciting of a beer.
